Yeah I think I misinterpreted the +1 message earlier. My VITA was trash, messed up almost all of my answers and still got into Baylor. There’s definitely hope!

That's definitely a noble deed. Just my two cents, but I'd personally only pass up on the interview if you're sure you'd be happier at the school where you've already been accepted. No matter where you go, someone will be ecstatic to fill the spot at the other school where you decline, whether that school ends up being Baylor or the other school where you've already been accepted (or, in the situation where you interview but don't get accepted to Baylor, someone who's ecstatic to go to Baylor will theoretically fill the spot that could have been yours). So, at the end of the day, a spot will be filled by somebody happy to take the spot you don't take. Of course, if you already know you'd be happier at the other school, passing your interview spot on to someone else will save you and the people reviewing your application time, but if you think you might possibly like Baylor better then I personally wouldn't pass up the opportunity.
Again, just my two cents. Your situation is definitely one to be envied 🙂. Congrats on making it to this point on your premed journey!
Thanks for being so reassuring. I just completed my VITA today and it felt really awkward. I'm fairly satisfied with my answers to most of the questions, other than being awkward and a little rambling, but I doubt anyone walks away from VITA saying, "Yippee! I nailed it!"

Hi! I got an interview date for February 5th but have not gotten the VITA link. Should I just keep waiting or is there something more proactive I can do because I don't want to miss the two-week-before-interview deadline
VITA is sent by AAMC only on Thursdays, if I remember right.
You need to email them probably because otherwise, the earliest you'll receive it is next Thursday which gives you a day until the 2 week deadline

It shouldn't matter too much. I don't think it's super strict, since there has been cases where they send invitations less than 2 weeks in advance.
Can confirm this. I had a situation which required me to take my VITA the week of my interview (I informed the admissions office ahead of time). You should complete it as soon as you can, but the two week rule is not strict.
Well that's good to hear. Have a friend who missed the deadline (just forgot, not an extenuating circumstance) so they're probably thanking their lucky stars. Curious on what the point of having the two week thing is then.

Just to beat a dead horse, from looking at Baylor's thread from the last cycle, there were a few different people who interviewed at the last dates of the cycle (late Jan and early Feb) who were accepted in March, meaning we late interviewees still have an at least decent chance at acceptance.
Does anyone have the "very important applicant" email address? I'm not sure if the one I wrote down during my interview day was correct.
I have an interview coming up, but I am unsure of my humanities pre-reqs. I emailed Baylor and was told to go through my health science advisor. My pre-med advisor was pretty frustrated that Baylor puts it back on them to decide if a humanity would be accepted or not. I have 8 hours of Spanish that I received after testing at my university. I'm assuming this would be looked at as AP (type) credit and would not count. I have an art class that I'm curious about, as well. I am taking psych right now (basically just added it when I got the invite for the last date). I guess my worst case scenario, if some of my humanity credits don't count is to take a May-mester class to fulfil those credit(s).

Have you read the descriptions carefully in terms of what is REQUIRED vs what is preferred and recommended? They are specific that awarded credits are not counted which probably means that Spanish is not counted unless the school is listing a specific class as completed instead of lumpsum credit.
Essentially they are expecting students have taken some humanities in college and not high school.
The following courses must have been completed satisfactorily (AP courses will not be accepted for the required coursework):
- Math (3-4 semester hours) - Biostatistics (preferred), but any course with quantitative math. Examples: statistics, physics, calculus
- Expository Writing (3-4 semester hours)*
- Humanities-Social/Behavioral Sciences (12 semester hours) Examples: psychology, sociology, anthropology, foreign languages, ethics, philosophy, theology, literature, art history
- Organic Chemistry (2 semesters; 6-8 semester hours) - lab is NOT required
- Biochemistry (3-4 semester hours) - lab is NOT required
- Advanced Biology (3-4 semester hours) - lab is NOT required. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: genetics, cell/molecular biology
- RECOMMENDED: Spanish

If we are still in college, are we supposed to update Baylor with our grades from the fall semester? I know I did it for TMDSAS schools
AMCAS app does not ask for or have a mechanism for academic transcript updates.
You mean letter of interest? Without an update even that may not move the needle.

I have an interview with BCM on Jan 29th, and have only recently taken the VITA. I had a mild TBI around 2 weeks ago (with documentation if necessary) and decided to wait a little bit to recover before continuing with application stuff. I did not realize that BCM had a 2 week deadline on the VITA.
Should I reach out to the admissions office about this?

I think you should. I don't know if it will lead anywhere but at least they will know and you tried to let them know about your extenuating circumstances.
Other people have said it didn't matter but if you want to be safe and free of worry, then probably.
the last date I mentioned is for MSTP.

Baylor doesn’t send out mass rejections but if you have not interviewed by their last date you can assume you are out.

Naaa I Just saw last year's post and they did a mass pre-II rejection on January 22nd, so probably this week I get the Axe.
They have to tell you the interview season is over and they could not give you an interview.
@wysdoc is referring to people who have been interviewed. they dont get rejected until when they close admissions in June/July.
There are several messages elsewhere that schools don't HAVE to do anything. That's arrogant, but gotta live with it. I don't know specifically about Baylor.
Baylor has two rejections.
1. Interview dates are filled and no slots open - you will not be interviewed (should happen anytime soon).
2. You have been interviewed in September but not admitted yet and considered to be on hold or waitlist or whatever else. They dont officially reject interviewed candidates until they let the entire waitlist candidates go at once when they are completely done. One could be admitted in June but at some point they close admissions.

No. Baylor has you in contention for an admission until they release everyone in June or July. If you review past threads only for May or June, you will notice that some people have interviewed early but only admitted in May (not sure about June).
I don't think it happened yet :/ any day now hopefully!!
