II earlier. Complete 8/23. LM 70. From the area. Very excited 🙂
Whats the point of trying to have quick secondary turnaround times if applications are being reviewed in random order? Anyone else feel this way lol
Yeah whats the point of turning in primaries and secondaries ASAP when URMs and 80+ LMs get priority
I remember a post on sdn from awhile back of someone asking, and some of the adcoms had noted that different schools did it differently, but it’s a tier system where they put you on a ranking, then send out 20 IIs a week (or whatever frequency they choose) from the top of that list. Applying early means you have more chances at being in that interview areaWhats the point of trying to have quick secondary turnaround times if applications are being reviewed in random order? Anyone else feel this way lol
Oh man, idk how i would feel about that. Also damn it really has been 2 months...*realizes it’s been 2 months since evaluations started*
Anyone wanna bet $5.00 that a wave of Rs will hit before IIs?
Yes, definitely feel that. And frankly if I felt less pressure to turn them around rapidly I probably would have caught a couple typos. That said, to be honest, I'm glad I finished them quickly rather than letting that dreadful process drag on longer.Whats the point of trying to have quick secondary turnaround times if applications are being reviewed in random order? Congrats, do you mind sharing stats?Got my first II from Georgetown this morning. So freaking excited! Application complete 9/2, OOS (international), URM
Didn't receive II this morning but w/in the past few weeks -- I didn't have any hospital volunteering (or any clinical "volunteering" for that matter) but had a significant amount of paid clinical experience in addition to non-clinical volunteering. To those who received II this morning: congrats!! Just wondering, did any of you have hospital volunteering as clinical experience, or did you guys have other significant clinical experiences other than hospital?
yep i was marked complete 7/26 and got nothing lolHas anyone completed in July or august and not heard anything? I’m assuming applications are being reviewed in random order
sameIf it makes you feel any better, I'm a decently high stats URM, complete early (07/16) and nothing lol
Received II awhile back but i had both hospital volunteering and paid clinical workTo those who received II this morning: congrats!! Just wondering, did any of you have hospital volunteering as clinical experience, or did you guys have other significant clinical experiences other than hospital?

Thanks, sure my LM = 69. I do have a very substantial amount of research hours, 1 publication, and several presentations at conferences. I hope this answers your question.Congrats, do you mind sharing stats?
I only listed hospital volunteering for my clinical experiences. To those who received II this morning: congrats!! Just wondering, did any of you have hospital volunteering as clinical experience, or did you guys have other significant clinical experiences other than hospital?
I only listed hospital volunteering for my clinical experiences.
Oh, Georgetown has their own definition for clinical experiences and I was worried about my hospital hours being considered as non clinical.hi sorry, was there a specific space to indicate clinical experiences on the secondary app?? what does this refer to exactly

That's incredible stats!! Did you take a couple gap years? How did you accumulate so many paid clinical hours?Hi there! I had about ~300 hrs of hospital volunteering (which I did in undergrad), and about 6,000 hrs paid clinical work.
Got my II a couple weeks ago, had about 300 hrs of clinical experience mostly from shadowing. To those who received II this morning: congrats!! Haha, yes, I've been working as a clinical researcher at a local children's hospital for the past 2 years 🙂 Awesome experience, lots of direct patient contact, and my PI is really pushing for me to go to med school, so he's also set up additional shadowing and hands-on clinical experiences for me as well to supplement my work. That's incredible stats!! Most people said there's were chill and conversational but tbh mine was kinda tough. My interviewer definitely pressed me with some hard questions (around 10). It was also conversational though and enjoyable at times. I'd say it was like 60% Question/answer and 40% conversational. It went for about 50 minutes which I think is longer than usual (I don't know if that's a good thing?). But yeah.. prep as much as you can and do your best. There's nothing else you can do!Hey, for those of you who have already had your IIs, could you describe how they were? I know that some of you commented about it but I can't find them in the thread. Thanks!
been there for 2+ months for meGuys, was the "under review" next to -application complete- always there in the notes section of our status? Trying to figure out if anything is changing.....
Not sure if this was everyone's experience, but I was told who my interviewer was a minute before I was assigned to the interview breakout roomAnyone know how to see your Interviewer deets, I heard you can see who they are before your II?
I signed the form on my portal and afterwards it says your interviewer’s name at the bottom!Anyone know how to see your Interviewer deets, I heard you can see who they are before your II?
IIRC, they didn't ask me to sign it. If you sign into your portal a couple days before your interview, the form should just show up.When did you sign a form? I haven’t been asked yet.
anyone else feeling ghosted and losing hope with this school? 🙁
IKR?! I wish they would just tell me though. I was telling my friends the other day that post-interview feeling is like sending a risky text to a crush and waiting to hear back. You'll either be really happy or heartbroken at the end. This reminded me of that lmao, sorry if this was a weird messageMe: writing a 1 page love letter to Georgetown
Georgetown: uhh let's just be friends...
Sounds about right. I'm just praying the read my application, but reality is they get so many that mine will probably never get read!Me: writing a 1 page love letter to Georgetown

I've never heard of sending a letter of interest unless you're waitlisted. Are letters of interest for GTown, given that they love interest, suggested after an interview and before the decision, or after you receive your decision?
Congrats!Interviewed today 10/6; II received on 9/2; Secondary complete on 7/23
Thanks! 🙂Congrats!
I didn't know schools did that (besides Michigan)! Do the majority of them do that? And where do they list that info?Forever wishing the Georgetown was similar to other schools where they track how many interviews have been scheduled and we can gauge where they are at in the cycle 🙁
I thought info sessions were on the Monday of the week of your interview???? Am I wrong?
They just sent an email that mine is on 10/13 and I’m confusedI think that was when mine was, yeah
That's because 10/12 is a holiday. I had mine on a Tuesday too because 09/07 was labor day. They just sent an email that mine is on 10/13 and I’m confused
