2020-2021 Georgetown

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I’m anxious to find out as well! Should be this week. Honestly was expecting to see some movement today.
I saw last year that a round of acceptances went out January 7th. That was the first date after the break where people got A's and they interviewed late October. I'm patiently holding tight till the 7th lol

Can anyone give clarity on what the interview is like? Is it open or closed file? Is it truly conversational? Are the questions pretty standard med school interview questions?

True, although last year the 7th was the week AFTER people returned to work, post-holidays 🤔
But also this year, the 7th would be towards the end of this week, and I feel like this cycle they've been doing the A's toward the end of the week, soo....crossed fingers for the 7th 🤞

Any updates?

Daffy Duck Waiting GIF

This has been me literally since 12/15....I think I've checked my e-mail probably 60 times since this morning.

Is there a typical day of the week they release decisions?
From looking at the thread, and people previously hearing back this year, it seems like earlier in the cycle, it was pretty standard that WL/Rs went out Wednesdays and As were Fridays?
Looking at some of the days in late November/early to mid-December, it kind of became more sporadic, with WL/Rs going out at the end of the week and then some As still on Fridays as well (with some As also on Tuesdays???)
So...who's to say? Still thinking As are probably end of the week, but really could be any time.

I’m sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone know what the attire for the presentation day before the interview should be? Is it casual, or should it be business professional like for the interview? Thank you!

Professional like you’d wear for the interview

Is there a limit on the number of updates we can sent after being WL? I found a 2017 document that mentioned a limit of 5 and that they prefer applicants who have submitted at least one letter of intent. I wonder if that limit still stands and if they will not view letters of interest as favourably 😟

Edit: I remember hearing that up to 10 updates are accepted. Would someone please be able to confirm this number? Or is it still 5 updates? Many thanks!!

GU doesn't have interviewees sign NDAs or confidentiality forms. I've deleted my post anyway. I'll repost something less confidential lmao.
Not sure what's changed but earlier in the cycle, you had to sign an NDA in the "Video Interview" tab of the secondary portal before you could see the name of your interviewer and take the interview.

That wasn't the case for me and anyone I interviewed with then. We did not know the name of our interviewer until we logged into zoom at our interview time either.

Rt, I haven’t heard back. For those who got waitlisted did y’all get the fairly recent too?
