Im being extra neurotic, but when they say an interview is at 3 CT, that would be 1 PT right? I’m freaking myself out cuz they say “CT” and not “CST” so it COULD be “CDT” which would mess up the hours lol. Plz help

Is your interview before November 1st? Nov 1st would be when Minnesota switches from CDT to CST which could cause some confusion. If your interview is before November, then 3 CT should be 1 PT

It is before November! Thanks so much for the clarification 🙂

Has anyone who got a 10/13 II received the final booking date/time for their interview? I still haven't heard back and would like to finalize my schedule so I don't accidentally miss the interview day

nope

If it helps, I'm interviewing next week and didn't get official confirmation of the date + times until today (but the date was the same as my preference).

In the info session on monday they talked about sending in LOInterest/LOIntent. Did anyone happen to catch when they wanted that sent in/does anyone know (historically) when people send it in?

I'm curious about this too, not sure whether to send one pretty soon after the interview or to wait until after initial admissions decisions are made since I could be waitlisted

I took notes during the session but didn't recall specific timeframe guidelines. I know for other schools in general that sending a letter of interest/intent may be typically done one month after the interview though.

II! This is my first - brb crying.

521; 3.6 ish (with a steep upward trajectory); some ties to Mayo (shadowed there and letter of rec from Mayo Dr.)
Congrats!!! Do you mind sharing your complete date? Thank you!

Can anyone speak on the prestige of attending the FL campus for 2+2 as compared to the MN or AZ campuses? Is it viewed the same in general and for residencies, or is it viewed less bc it’s the 2+2 program?

their website says ii are sent out sep-nov meaning next month is the last month for ii, did that change due to covid though? I was complete 9/2 not sure how bad will it affect my chances for an interview

When scheduling, my preferred days of the week do not list dates! When I select dates and times that I'm available, does anyone know how far out they schedule? If I make selections today, does that mean that they could schedule me this very week? Or is it more likely to be the following week? I know this sounds neurotic but I was looking forward to some time to prep!

When you say selections today, are you saying the only available dates are this upcoming week? When I scheduled, the only dates available to me were two weeks out and I chose one of the weekdays in that range as my preferred date, which ended up being my true interview day.

You have to upload your picture first before you are able to see a calendar with dates. Have you done that already?

I haven't uploaded a picture, so that makes more sense! Thanks, y'all!

For those who are interviewing on a day other than Monday, are there supposed to be separate orientation sessions for our interview days (outside of the monday session) or do we just need to visit the zoom links for our interview timeslots on our interview day.

I interviewed on a Tuesday and only attended my two zoom interview links. Apart from the Monday session and optional Sunday night session with med students, there shouldn't be anything else on your interview day besides your interviews.

If I get a preII hold, does this apply for all campuses? How can I tell the difference?

Hi guys! Can anyone who has already had the Monday info session (or is in it right now) let me know a little bit more about it? Are cameras on? Trying to figure out if I need to take the afternoon off work or if it's something I can tune into in the office.

Most people had their cameras on and are wearing business professional when I attended mine last week. Additionally, the Mayo staff may ask you to introduce yourself to the others in smaller campus-specific Zoom rooms.

Yep. Everyone last week was wearing suits. In the MN room, we did an icebreaker activity where everyone spoke.

I was in the MN room as well! Small world indeed. I rather liked the icebreaker activity to hear a bit from everyone -- everyone is so accomplished and interesting

what's the difference between a letter of intent vs interest? and when do you send each of them?

For anyone that has already interviewed, are the faculty interviews via zoom? Or over the phone? They had us list a number so I'm curious!
