I wouldn’t think too much of being on hold. Most applicants get placed on hold initially! You could still get that A 🙂

Nah, I'm pretty sure they have to give us some sort of decision by April 30th. I looked through last year's thread and that seems to be the case for everyone, whether it is WL/R/A.

Yeah, I was sure I would go into this week refreshing the portal less--absolutely not.
This process is quite dreadful having zero clue for so long on where you stand. OHSU is my only hope this year and I have to say this has been real rough...
I saw from previous years that R's typically go out after a couple weeks post ii? Not that being in the nosebleeds of the waitlist is much better

Friendly reminder for y'all - more than 80% of the class comes from people who have at some point been put on a hold. It's pretty irrelevant when you hear about that decision but <10% of the acceptances are pre-hold A. You are on the final stretch and good news is right around the corner. Go outside, take a deep breath, bask in the sun. Regardless of the outcome you are all amazing humans who will lead extraordinary lives. I know it feels like the end of the world but you got this.
