Anyone know post interview chances of acceptance at this school? Also, if accepted/already accepted, would you choose to go to a new school like TCU or one that has been around for a while and has graduated many classes?

I can’t remember what our class stats were but for the first class they had a 28% post interview acceptance rate. This year will probably be even lower since our school has added more interview dates than they had previously.

Everyone has different reasons for attending different schools. What I can tell you is me and many of my classmates turned down acceptances to well established and prestigious schools to attend TCU.

Just to expand upon what my classmate has said, I personally know classmates who turned down Baylor, Drexel, Georgetown, Dartmouth, Texas A & M, U MASS, Louisville, Ohio State, among others to come here.

But did your entire class receive some kind of scholarship the first year ?

Oh yeah this is a good point that may have swayed decisions. Assuming everyone got a full ride for the entering class.

The entering class got a full ride for their first year. Me and @OrexinRules are both a part of the second class, which did not have the same offer. The schools that were listed were all from students in our class.

I would also make the same decision. TCU has a lot of cool opportunities and their philosophy is something that I think is more unique. Seems like an awesome spot!

Does anyone know if this school gives merit scholarships? I can't find anything on the website

For people who've interviewed, is this Friday another "decision day"? And is New Years Day one as well? Trying to mark my calendar but the timeline link they sent is no longer available

received a II on 9-28, complete 10-15. Does anyone know if decision/interview invites are coming up?

anyone complete in october got an II yet?

Rejected today, with a LM of roughly 68 there were not a ton of schools that I had averages above (this being one of them), it is a little more frustrating when opportunities like TCU don't work. But I suppose thats why we apply broadly.
When did you submit? I'm sorry to hear this!

Congrats! What dates did they have available?
Thanks! I want to say one in late Feb, one in early March, and one sometime in April. I also wasn't able to schedule until several hours after the email came, so there could have been some dates earlier that filled up.

To reserve your interview spot, you have to add a picture of yourself. I chose a placeholder image since I was at work on mobile when my II came through. I went to put in my headshot and found that you can't change the picture

Oh, horrors! Call them! Good luck. I'm both cackling at the thought of serious admissions committee members logging in to prepare for their interview with you and viewing this with horror, and also cringing for you. I truly do hope this gets worked out. Good luck with everything.

Oh this isn't the picture that I uploaded, it's just my perpetual facial expression since it happened. I uploaded a casual picture of me at a research conference from 2017 lol

do you guys suggest sending an update letter now ( vs the potential of adcoms being on winter break) or waiting it out til Jan (potential of an R)?? Thanks

What is this mandatory house party?
Under your Interview tab, you should have a tab that says "From Applicant to Empathetic Scholar". It sounds like you watch the videos linked there, then attend a session with panelists from the school where you can ask any questions you have. Lasts for about an hour on the Monday after you interview. It's mandatory, but professional attire not required.

Anyone know if the admissions team is on holiday break or if we will continue to receive updates today and on New Year's day?

Wondering if I still have a chance here, would love to interview and attend but one of their prereqs is genetics which I plan on taking this spring if they'd interview me. Running out of time. OOS, LM 69, complete 7/31

Why not take it? It's a great class and will help, wherever you go.
