If I'm not mistaken, isn't 40% of interviewees accepted a pretty good amount? I have barely seen schools that accept more than 50% (UVA is the only one I can think of that comes to mind with greater than 50%).
40 is on the lower side relative to all medical schools but on the higher side for a T20. Schools like OSU or Quinnipiac have a ~80% post-II acceptance rate.

I could imagine that post II, the decision really comes down to fit and maybe less so of a standard staircase analogy. I think also given the class size/accepted ratio and they must lose alot of people to other t20s, the idea of how likely is this person to attend must come into play

I'd also think that more people who traditionally would not accept the interview invitation due to being accepted from a higher preference school would also attend bc theres really no reason not to this cycle, so I wonder if post II A's would be higher due to losing these individuals to other schools as well, specifically this cycle. Idk...lots of time to think this year so might just be lying to myself...

I could see them just putting more people on the waitlist and then expecting more WL movement in order to combat this. I feel like in general, Pritzker really tries to maintain a small class size and since they already accept 2-3x their class size, it might be risky for them to be overzealous. All schools are probably worried about over enrollment especially this year

did all MeSH MD-PhD applicants here submit a separate app to the grad school of choice, and if you did not and still got an interview, was it canceled when they realized u did not or how was the situation resolved?

Does anyone recall seeing a graphic of Pritzker's curriculum? I can only find the list version of the curriculum

I don't remember seeing one on their website but not too sure. Perhaps if it would be really helpful and you are about to interview/post interview, you can email them. I assume they would be more receptive given that you've reached that stage in their application cycle

did u apply to the grad program separately
Yes. I specified on the UChicago secondary that I'd be applying for MeSH, and I was directed to complete an additional graduate application to the department I chose

Ah, Thanks! Follow up Q: 'directed' as in they told you post secondary submission? or you just read the FAQ? Alsoooo, since confirming the interview date, have you heard back from them?

1) Both
2) Yes; I received emails from MeSH/Pritzker about interview logistics and from sociology department faculty for interview dates

IMPORTANT: most departments where you apply, as a MeSH applicant, require a recent GRE score. But the good thing is that the GRE is way easier than the MCAT lmaoo

Not like it really matters but do we know when they are planning on stopping interviews this year? Like the last day?

Anyone know if UChicago is interviewing about the same number candidates as past years? Or more candidates since it's easier to conduct virtual interviews.

I would say roughly the same. They didn't mention an increase in interviews during their interview day and they are ending around the same time as last year

Does everyone who gets in get either merit or financial aid? It seemed like most people reported scholarships with acceptances last year

I think we arent hearing back until like end of feb/march.. I believe this school does not do rolling admissions

Congrats to all who were accepted! Any word on if second look will be in person?

I asked and they confirmed that it will be virtual (understandable, but still a bummer). They also told me that rather than having the whole Second Look in one long Zoom session, they're planning to break it up over the course of a few days and that every session will be recorded for those who can't make it!

is it normal for them to send acceptances in January? does this mean they're going to keep sending results periodically now?

Got the call a little while back!! So grateful for the A and this is definitely my current top choice out of my A's <3

Edit: interviewed very early in the cycle & she mentioned that scholarship info will go out later in march!
did she say later in march as in late march or just by first week in march (when all decisions come out)?

Quick question- I have an interview here next week and just noticed an agreement I have to sign under the Video Interview tab, I assume I am supposed to sign and date this before my interview day, right? Or, is it something that I do the day of? Thanks in advance!

You can sign it whenever! I signed it a few days before cause I was just fooling around on the site.
