2/23 interview, just got tabs!!

Congrats!!! Any chance you have been obsessively checking and they just popped up? trying to figure out if there is still hope today

If you have the update on the portal about "placed on hold for possible acceptance" it says that a waitlist will be formed and released mid march (March 15 I believe). You will receive a status update if you are put on the waitlist or if you are accepted. If you don't receive that status update I believe that = rejection? But not sure.

Yep but don't worry they accept 25% of the class from the waiting list 🙂.

No, it’s acruallt less than a waitlist. The on hold for A/WL will be cut down when waitlist is formed some will be rejected

Hey for people that are knowledgable with the admissions. I am a bit surprised that I didn't get the tab. Felt like my interview went great! So i was wondering is the score for the ranking only regarding the interview or the rest of the application. Also are we still waiting to hear back for march 2nd.

I remember them saying on interview day that after the interview they re-review the entire file in addition to your interveiw scores. They mentioned that they may decide not to accept someone due to red flags in the interveiw or..... redflags seen in your application (that did not occur in the interveiw). So in short the score has to do with the entire re-reveiw of your entire application- including interveiw scores..

So ...You could do great on the interview and still get waitlisted or rejected.

Now this is how I interpreted it. But don't take my word as final say.

However this is standard practice for most schools.

Your entire file including your file score and your interview were presented to a committee. They then all voted on you and you got a score.
Getting into Med school is hard and often we are the worst judges of our interview performance.

Mmhm possibly! Also I am an international so just getting an interview was a long shot 😂! Its just weird that I’ve been assigned to a m2 student just to get rejected:/

Definitely surprising, but I'm guessing schools are willing to go a little later than normal due to the virtual nature of interviews.
