Hey! So I interviewed in Sep. and I definitely want to send an update letter before the EXCOM meets for the first group of interviews. Our lab is just waiting to hear back from a journal about a recent paper- how long do you guys think I have until I absolutely need to send the letter for it to be included when they review my file? I got an email from them a couple of weeks ago asking for updates- I was figuring I have until mid next week?

Also, does anyone know if people get rejected this time around? Or does anyone who doesnt get the A get pushed to rereview in march?

I don't know for sure but I'd say by mid-November? I believe that's when they begin to review applicants. Also I was wondering if you guys think we should definitely submit an update since they encouraged them? I did some new things this semester but nothing wow-ing so I don't know if I should announce how underwhelming I have been so far.

Oh boy, a long time ago. But I think my CASPER was a bit delayed so honestly I don't know. Mid-August I would guess. No II

They interview in two rounds: September to November and then December to January. First-round decisions come out around mid-December, and then more IIs get handed out afterwards.

i think going through this and the previous thread, it looks like they mostly go in order. i didn't track and see if anyone waiting months heard back but i'm assuming it's either
1 a hold process -- which honestly, ill take over a rejection at this point :')
or 2 someone has not gotten through the list of applications they're supposed to go through and you and i are just waiting in someone's desk lol
