I received an II on 9/13 and confirmed/chose in-person. Laura Yusick told me Ms. Ball would be in touch soon on 9/14. I still not have heard anything. Anyone else in same boat? Should I reach out at some point?

do they have an information session for those interviewing online? or even a Q&A with students or other faculty?

If anyone interviewing in person on October 6th wants to meet up in Buffalo on the 5th and explore, send me a PM!

They're really nice so you shouldn't be too worried. I would suggest really knowing your application/story inside out because they can latch onto things that you are not expecting at all. I'll be honest, they kind of surprised me with some questions because I didn't realize that I put that information in my primary. I knew what to say but I was definitely confused haha. If you have a really interesting story, it is very likely that your interview will mainly consist of questions about that. If it's not super interesting, expect more of the questions that are posted on the SDN interview feedback page. Either way, know the most common interview questions because you may get a few of them.
Remember, you are here for a reason. They looked at your app, they found you interesting, and want to know more about you. Don't focus too much on trying to create an ideal student persona. Be yourself and try to convey why you want to be a doctor. GOOD LUCK!!

I interviewed here and had great conversations with my interviewers! Definitely recommend reviewing your application since they really do seem to read it in depth. Questions-wise, I had pretty generic medical school interview questions. Good luck y’all!

How long does Buffalo usually take for a decision following an interview?

Pretty sure my interviewer had my MCAT in the folder in front of me.
My interviewer told me he had my stats in front of him though he did say officially they weren’t supposed to know, but he checked anyway.

I feel like you guys should report your interviewers since this info maybe biased them one way or another. My interviewer said they’re not Allowed to see the stats

Just for taking off purposes as I work during the week, how long was the interview for anyone who already had it? Thanks!

Hey guys, are we going to hear back on October 15th? If I remember correctly they said we would hear back ~2 weeks from our interview date, right?

Any chance we start hearing about post interview decisions tomorrow?

I’m neurotic af so I checked SDN threads from last cycle and the cycle before. It seems like last year, acceptances went out starting 10/30 but they were told they were going to be later than usual due to COVID. The year before that, acceptances actually went out 10/14 which is strange. According to the school’s website, they send out notices at the end of October. At my interview they told us we should expect to hear back within ~2 weeks, and that was on 9/29. So they could be sending out starting tomorrow or it could be in two weeks.

I feel like there definitely is a chance! One of the students said ~2 weeks turnaround. Not sure how accurate that is, but fingers crossed we hear something!

Is there any merit in the idea that they would send out decisions around the same time they sent out interview invites?? I got my II around 12:45 pm but the suspense is killing me lol
