2021-2022 Charles R. Drew

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
The last interview day option on the post-interview survey is 12/11. As stated above, hopefully they add more dates for those waiting!

Hi! Does anyone who interviewed in late October remember when they said they’d notify us of decisions?

Yeah I don't recall a set schedule. They told us when to log in, we had an intro session, and then they told you when your interviews would occur
Thanks! I was just curious what the day looked like and how long each interview would last

Is anyone else having trouble just like finding information about Drew? I can't find anything about student orgs etc

Idk how to explain it… but i don’t think there’s any room on campus for whatever student orgs your interested in lol.

it’s a super small campus bro. Their med students take classes at UCLA so whatever orgs you’re looking for will prob be at UCLA, so look there.

I think students participate mostly in ucla stuff. I found that messaging current students on instagram about this kinda stuff was really helpful

Any recommendations to score an MCAT score like you? That's impressive. Congratulations.
What worked best for me was getting my hands on as many practice problems as I could, figuring out which topics I was especially weak in/types of questions I kept getting wrong, and focusing mainly on studying/practicing in those areas. Oh and building up stamina with practice tests! Honestly I was also surprised, because I felt like I did horrible walking out of it.

I’m going to make the assumption that 12/18 is the last interview date. They plan to have decisions out by late January/early February and their holiday break also starts 12/20, so January will likely be when CDU then DGSOM do their review for acceptances and scholarships. Plus previous emails said December was the end of their interview season.

I am inclined to agree however last year they extended interviews into January, so this year may be the same.

They also didn’t send acceptances until March last year. They were pretty adamant that acceptances will go out Jan/Feb, but they could change their mind idk 🤷🏽‍♀️

true. Only time will tell.

if i dont get an II ill be super bummed. Its my top choice, and I worked, lived, and volunteered in the same neighborhood :blackeye:

But everyone getting interviews is a freaking Rockstar applicant so I cant even be mad bout it lmao, I'll just chalk it up to the game.

You have been so positive on this thread (as well as others). We honestly do not know what is going on with admissions committees and they very well may do another interview day in early Jan then make decisions by Feb. I really do hope you get a chance to interview but either way I know that you will end up at a medical school. Sending you the best wishes and I am excited to see which school is lucky enough to get you. @JustJackie
