Long time listener, first time (ish) poster. Has anyone besides the folks that heard on the first day of announcements (Friday, Oct 15th) received a decision and if so what week did you interview?

Interviewed early Sept. Haven’t heard anything yet. At this point, I am honestly expecting a WL or AL but I’m still hopeful!

Got notification of being medically disqualified. I filled out the medical waiver request Google form and was going to email them, but it asks about supporting documentation from a physician regarding my condition? Anyone know how much or what type of documentation they need?

A doctor’s note should be fine

Depends on what the condition is. Usually a physician attesting to it not being a problem is all you need, though depending on the condition, it still may be disqualifying.

Any week of 9/27 interviewees think we'll hear back before the campus visit on Nov 4? I've made plans to attend and hoping not to get a R right before

I'm honestly hoping we hear something next week, it seems to track date-wise compared to the other offers but I also know there are exceptions to the trend and we don't have a complete dataset.

I interviewed the week of 9/27 and got an A on Thursday, however idk if I passed the medical qualifications so my spot will most likely open up haha- ORM 4.0/515

I will also be attending on Nov 4 so maybe I'll see you there!

Hey y'all. Sorry if this has already been answered but for the optometry exam, do we need to bring any forms? I can't see to find one on the DoD website. Do we need to bring the whole medical history exam packet that I already brought to my general physical appointment? Thanks

+1 Mine is coming up so I need to know this too!

Nope, you don’t need to bring any forms. Only your ID, glasses if you wear them, and make sure not to wear contacts 3 days before the exam.

Yeah, I was gonna say, you don't need anything in terms of paperwork.
They also say not to drink any caffeine 24 hours prior. They don't say why.

For the physical itself, yeah, bring that whole novel/medical history packet. Single-sided.
I've heard there's no bloodwork but you do have to pee in a cup. I say "heard" because I didn't have to, probably because I'm still a reservist so those coming without a military background may need to provide.

It's done through a civilian contractor so otherwise it's all pretty humdrum. The place I did it with doesn't do it very often so they were a little shaky but otherwise it was pretty quick. Took a couple hours but most of the time was just waiting.

Its a good day to have listened to my D.A.R.E. classes

Caffeine can raise your heart rate and blood pressure, which can give you issues with the medical clearance. The urinalysis was more for general health vs drugs (looking for blood/protein/glucose), but DoDMERB doesn’t perform that anymore. That is actually why the instructions say no strenuous exercise for a couple days before, because some people say strenuous exercise can cause protein in the urine.

Anyone have guidance on ROTC cadets wearing dress uniforms vs civilian attire for virtual interviews?

I've been having issues with my DD-368 conditional release so I've been in close contact with admissions after my interview. The impression I got is that people interviewed in my week (Week of Oct 11) are on track to get a decision in the usual 6-8 week timeframe, so probably early December.

Are all interviewees invited to the in-person campus visit? How long after the interview have people been invited to the visit?

If you are previous service in any form, I would suggest using your dress uniform. I don't think it is a set rule but better safe than sorry

Do we have to bring any forms to the eye exam? The exam packet is only for the medical appointment right?

This was just answered a few posts up. No you don’t have to bring anything.

Helpful tip for everyone. You can use the search feature to search for something within a specific thread. Such as “eye exam” in this thread.

I received an II on Friday. I can't seem to upload the interview forms without some stuff being deleted. Any tips, suggestions.

I only have access to macbook pro at the moment. I tried on preview app, then tried on adobe acrobat reader. I'm not tech savy so cannot think of anything else.

It showed up for just fine on adobe acrobat reader and I use a mac. Do you use chrome for a browser?

I use Chrome and safari, Chrome primarily. I didn't have a problem editing it. I edited it using preview, then submitted it, when I checked the submission, everything I edited was blank except for the signature. I then uploaded it into adobe acrobat, and edited it, while trying to save, it gave me error messages saying it couldn't save because number is out of range. IDK what the issue is. When I open the link, it pops up as a google doc, but I don't have a google account and have no idea how to work google drive or doc. I think that may be an issue?

You could try uploading it to dochub and filling it out there, then saving as a pdf and uploading it.

Maybe you should create a google account or print out the form, fill it out in pen, and scan it? I have know idea what the number out of range thing, maybe you typed in a date wrong?

Has anyone heard if there have been any decisions given out recently?
I have not heard anyone announce they received a decision since 10/28. I'm doing my best to wait patiently but I don't think I've ever paid this much attention to my email. With today being a federal holiday, I don't have high hopes for a decision this week.

I’ve been the same way! I keep hoping that something will come with each new day. I feel like there has been less movement than past years, but I’m sure there’s a method to the madness.

Ugh. Waiting is the worst. I was hoping for something before Christmas, as I thought I read somewhere the timeline for Nov/Dec interviews was 6-8 weeks (while Sep/Oct was 4-6), turns out that follow-up email says 10-12, so that puts me in January. Pins and needles through New Years.

Waitlisted this morning from week of 9/27 interview. Top choice, so fingers crossed for some WL movement
:xf:email or phone call? I've heard good things about the waitlist at USU so this sounds like a win this early on in the process! Congrats!!
