I was wondering. I completed the secondary on 08/16 and I am OOS. I have not gotten an email yet regarding anything. Should I assume that I am either getting rejected or ghosted?
Hang in there. There's so many applications to look at. They have a certain system and your application remains alive and active until they make a decision. Hang in there.

USC does not believe in ghosting students because they understand student anxiety. If they decide the school is not the right fit for you, they will reject right away.

I have been complete since the first few days of July. Are you saying that I'm probably on hold for II?

Yeah I was curious about this. There were people who submitted later than me and got rejected, so I was wondering this too.

To those who interviewed already, were you able to see who your interviewers are beforehand?

How long after the interview do you hear back? They never mentioned it during the interview!

What area code was the phone call. I just received two phone calls but couldn’t answer.

In desperate need of an II. For my mental sanity. I've been thinking I might resort to Caribbean schools. I interviewed at two DO schools and they said no.
I hope they aren't done inviting people... tons of us are in your boat. we can go to the Caribbean together. Stay strong, keep your head up.

I was complete 7/11. I just don't feel great about this. I'm going to have to apply to one of these Caribbean places.

Do we have to pay a deposit to hold our acceptance? I went online and filled out the acceptance form and got an email saying my acceptance was confirmed, but I never paid a deposit.

I have my interview tomorrow and all I have is the zoom link for the welcome session. Will the links for the interviews become available on the portal after the welcome or am I missing something?

Yes! Log into the portal and go to the interview tab and then i think the button says video interview on the left side where you click it and you have access to the two separate interviews

Thank you so much!!

I don’t recall registering for the Q&A tmr. Did anyone get this email?

Similar question here (to the one from futuretrashwoman, above) I completed apps early Aug.; no news yet from USC. Does anyone believe USC might tend to HOLD (pre II) for high stats applicants, such as for concern re. potentially protecting their yield? (Sorry; I do recall someone stating there is a more up-to-date, proper term for 'yield' but I forgot that term).
MCAT 525, LizzyM 82, but prob. only average ECs and essay. Have had only 4 IIs, which resulted in one WL, one Hold, zero A. (27 completed apps. w/ last secondary early Aug.) SoCal resident.

First, bless your MCAT score, like holy. And congrats on the other IIs!

I would somewhat doubt there's yield protection going on here especially since you are a SoCal resident that Keck could presume would want to stay in the area. Realistically, there are only a couple schools in the US where your stats are not considered incredibly high, which is a great position to be if you ask me. It is possible that as an early submitter you have some sort of hold placed on your app while they're reviewing other apps, or it could also be that you've made the II mark and it's just a matter of waiting for the next II release date! Early submitter here too, so we'll see in the coming weeks.

I was complete early July, OOS but undergrad at USC w/ stats that should be reasonably competitive for Keck and haven't heard anything back yet either. Keck doesn't seem to review in a strictly chronological or stats-based order, so either we just haven't been informed of the decision on our app yet or we've been placed on some sort of hold!

When is the next day Dean Arias will start making calls? interviewed 10/19
Would love to know this. Interviewed 10/8 and every day I wake up hoping today is the day.

Call days have been random. Some have received calls on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday according to this thread.

Was complete 7/26, OOS but undergrad at prestigious CA university--radio silence

Is it safe to say that it takes about 1 month to 1 month and a half for us the hear back after our interview?

Also, I was wondering if anyone knew if you would get a notification if you are rejected post-interview.
