Acceptance yesterday, interviewed 11/14.
Congratulations on your acceptance! Are you IS? I interviewed the same date and I'm trying to get a better understanding of whether Wayne State reviews applications post-II in chronological order or whether there might be different timelines for different candidates.

IS with ties to the area. Hopefully you’ll hear good news soon.

How was everyone's experience with the MMI component of the interview? Any tips on how to prep? Thank you!!

It was definitely more relaxed than I anticipated. I prepared with the practice questions you can find online. I then selected 7-8 questions for one set of questions, videotaped myself answering them in one go, and set a timer to read and answer questions within 5 instead of 6 minutes. I would then watch the recordings to adjust my pace, body language, delivery, etc. for every new set of 7-8 questions.

So was moves from EDP to regular pool in Aug 28 and have'nt heard anything since. Canadian non-trad applicant. Should I consider this as a R?

Sent an update yesterday night and got an alternate list today morning. Anyone know about alternate list movement and if its suggested to send a letter of interest or something?

Just got a pre-II R. Submitted my application late October. Best of luck to everyone else.

Does WSU accept pre-II updates? Also, any pre-II R's for those complete in mid to end of August?

What can you include in a pre II update?
You can include any updates you feel relevant to your application.

I tried to only include significant updates - i asked at an open house how they view update letters. They said to basically only do it if there is a significant change you want them to know about.

For example, I started in a research assistant position at my university so I included the work I am doing. I have also begun some extra activities in advocacy work so I briefly explained what I was doing.

I kept it under 1 page! You can direct message me if you have any other questions 🙂

Got the holiday emails with a "the deadline to submit your secondary is approaching!"

Guess I should submit it soon, huh

I interview tomorrow and I'm getting a little confused about when things actually start--is the "Welcome" a separate zoom meeting before interviews? (i.e. welcome from 8:30-9 AM, interviews start at 9?) And if so, when did everyone get the email providing that link?

Right now all I can see in the portal is where I'll start my first interview, which says it starts at 9AM

I'm also interviewing soon. This is what it says in my portal:

"The AM session will begin at 9:00 am ET and should end by 12:00pm ET. Please follow the login instructions and plan to login 15 minutes prior to the start time.

The PM Session will begin at 1:00 pm ET and should end by 4:00pm ET. Please follow the login instructions and plan to login 15 minutes prior to the start time.

Shortly before the interview day, you will receive an email with a link for a welcome session that begins 30 min prior to the session start time. This will provide some details about the interview day as well as offer you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have."

So if your first interview is at 9am, I assume the welcome session will be at 8:30am

Great, thanks! That's what I'm guessing as well, I just haven't gotten the link for the welcome session yet so I wanted to check. Good luck at your interview!
