How did you guys prepare for the MMI portion of the interview?

For any of you worried about the MMI portion, I would definitely recommend the MMI Interview Practice Question videos from Course Grinder. Has helped me through multiple MMIs and I haven't really felt surprised by any of the questions

Very average MMI questions, no crazy curve balls. Spoke for about 1.5-2 mins per question. Every MMI has three questions, very similar to CASPer.

According to this, there are 9 EDP acceptances and according to this SDN thread, at least 4 of them went to Canadians. Seems like WSUSOM is verryyyyy Canadian friendly.

I think those stats are from last year. Still, make that 5 people!

Canadian EDP, got my A on sep 28! 3.9ish GPA, 512 MCAT (2nd attempt). Incredibly grateful and super excited, Wayne state seems like a wonderful school :')

Edit: also in my interview experience, it seems like the school really doesn't care if you're Canadian or not at least in the EDP route (which is good for us LOL). The interviewers really just wanted to make sure I was a good fit for the school!

Got an II last year and didn't get off the waitlist. Retook the MCAT and got a much higher score, but submitted application late this year because of it (end of Aug); did anyone else that got II last year and recieved it again already this year? OOS.

Yes, same situation as you. I was waitlisted all the way until the end. Had my interview back in August and hoping to hear back next weekend! (IS, complete 7/6)

You'll get an email with a zoom link for the opening info session, and there they will explain how the actual interview process takes place on the amp portal. I got this email at like 6/7PM the night before the interview!

I believe some of the people who chose to have the student interview last on my interview day ended up having asynchronous student interviews due to scheduling issues. So maybe something to keep in mind. Otherwise I don’t think it matters too much.

FWIW I interviewed on 9/26 and they said our decisions would be sent out by late October-early November.

a lot of people get put on the WL no matter what tbh. Interviewing in November and even December is very normal. Current med student here.
