Question - I have an interview here in december but received an email to sign up for tours, and all of the dates are in november (all before my interview). Is it recommended to go to these? Does it matter whether i go or not? Are they normally after you interview? And if i should do the tour, do i need to tour both campuses?

I personally made the effort to tour both campuses prior to my interview just in case the opportunity came up for me to mention it so I could show how serious I was, but that chance never came. I was never asked which campus I wanted until AFTER my acceptance. It may not hurt though just to be prepared.

thank you sm! do you remember how long the tours were? because they offer touring both campuses in one saturday and i was wondering if it would be possible to make both of them rather than splitting up the days bc im traveling from OOS and have work daily

When I toured the Harrogate campus, the tour was only about 1.5 hr. My Knoxville tour was part of their Pre-Med day back in April and it was a half day event and included other events/talks. The locations are only about an hour and a half apart so it is reasonable to think that doing both in a single day would be possible.

Hi, I’m going to the open house this week at harrogate campus, I was wondering what the dress code is, should I be wearing business casual?

I feel like sweats and a T-shirt would suffice. If they don’t love you at your worst, will they be able to fully appreciate you at your best?

If you’re going to the conference thing, I emailed and they said business casual but be comfortable since the tour requires walking.

Interviewing here soon. How have the interviews been? Mostly just the usual basic questions or do they ask harder questions?

Don’t stress too much I was worried I wouldn’t get an II with my low stats. Best of luck everyone

does anyone feel/know if touring the campuses pre-interview impacts your chance of getting accepted?

I just got this email.
We wanted to let you know that your file is still under review. If chosen for an interview, we will contact you by phone or email with available dates. We will be interviewing through April 2024.

Is this a good sign? Reading too much into it? I am a low stat applicant so anything helps.

I got it too. I'm choosing to think of it as a positive thing because I know Pre-II Rs are being sent out too, so we're still in the running! :')

I would imagine those two are the same things right?

I believe there are a couple schools that have a regular waitlist but also an alternate list, which gets higher priority over the waitlist. Students are usually placed on said alternate list once the class is full and these students would have normally been offered an acceptance.

Ohh I have no idea, there is supposedly NO ranking, so I'm guessing "waitlist" and "alternate list" are the same.

Oddly enough, I haven’t received this email. Now I’m a little concerned…
