Probably a mixture of FAFSA delays and it depends on school start dates. Those with earlier dates are gonna move earlier/nowTo next week we go everybody… I wanted to hear people’s thoughts/opinions on WL movement this year. Do we think because of FAFSA delays, the whole campus assignment blunder and MCG accepting 40 more students this year will change WL movement compared to previous years and how so?
I hope so!I was just thinking about that.. Based on what people have been reporting here, with only Savannah acceptances since last Friday (and considering that Savannah only has 40 seats compared to the 300 from Athens and Augusta combined) statistically we are bound to see more movement… right?!

Do we know how many people are currently assigned to each campus?I would say there’s still going to be a bit of waitlist movement (my best guess would be at least a dozen more As before the orientation in July). Just wanted to offer some clarity based on the numbers provided during my interview: 206 seats in Augusta, 60 seats in Athens, 40 seats in Savannah, and I’m pretty sure there’s 306 seats total.
So I just looked through the GroupMes and ran some quick counts:Do we know how many people are currently assigned to each campus?
Thank you for that!! Hoping for some movement today or tomorrow going crazy over here lolSo I just looked through the GroupMes and ran some quick counts:
MCG total: 300 (284 new students, 16 upper class students)
MCG Athens: 77 (62 new students, 15 upper class students)
MCG Savannah: 34 (25 new students, 9 upper class students)
***MCG Augusta does not have a dedicated GroupMe and a lot of people are in multiple groups so it’s hard to say how many students are in the Augusta group without double-counting.
But through the difference it looks like there are 197 new students in the Augusta group.
It is also to be noted that not everyone who is an upper class student has identified themselves (via an M1/M2 next to their name) so it’s difficult to say with certainty how accurate these numbers are.
Thanks for info medhealthy!! Honestly at this point it’s all speculation. We don’t know how many of the groupme exactly are current students. We don’t know how many are going elsewhere and are still in the chat. We don’t know how many got accepted but aren’t in the groupme. Lots of variables. So I just looked through the GroupMes and ran some quick counts:

All we can do is wait.
Hope you make Doc Louis proud, Little MacWithdrew my A, hopefully it goes to one of you!
Seems odd there hasn’t been a single reported this weekhas anyone checked with the admissions office regarding the waitlist movement? In the past, the first two weeks seemed to have a lot more movement but I don't know if it is the same for this year due to the FAFSA delay and PTE extension unless there is WL movement that is not being reported on SDN.
I called them on Monday and they said that they are still in the process of accepting people off the waitlist, but said it was uncertain when/how often as only the admission committee itself knows. It is weird that we haven't heard anything yet this week thohas anyone checked with the admissions office regarding the waitlist movement? Congratulations that's awesome!! Do you mind sharing your stats?Got the A today at 1:17pm, EST via e-mail. No campus assignment yet. Completely unreal, but thankful. I will be pulling for all of you on the WL still. I know how painful it is, so if you guys need any sort of updates I'll still be checking SDN on the reg.
Also are you URM or ORM?Got the A today at 1:17pm, EST via e-mail. No campus assignment yet. Completely unreal, but thankful. I will be pulling for all of you on the WL still. I know how painful it is, so if you guys need any sort of updates I'll still be checking SDN on the reg.
No, they never gave an extension. No financial aid letters yet either. I met with the financial aid counselor yesterday and they still don't know when that might be coming ¯\_(ツ)_/¯For those accepted, did MCG extend their PTE deadline? I know a lot of schools did
I'm actually not sure, but I'm Vietnamese if that helps. Also are you URM or ORM?
I think cali says Viets are underrepresented but Georgia doesn't explicitly define that.I'm actually not sure, but I'm Vietnamese if that helps.
Are you comfortable sharing stats and interview date?I'm actually not sure, but I'm Vietnamese if that helps.
Can someone please send me the group chat for MCG accepted students?Oh wow I’m in shock! Accepted off waitlist today at 2:53 pm! Hoping for good news for all the other waitlist applicants. GPA was a 4.0 from Undergrad and had a low 500 MCAT score
I know the feeling. I'm also a low 500 mcat/high gpa candidate. Congrats!!!!I got off the WL on Friday afternoon! Low 500 mcat as well and high gpa, interviewed late Nov. Can someone also send me the groupme?
Stats? Also saw you interviewed in September, what a wait man! You must be relieved.Got the A today at 11:30pm, EST via e-mail. No campus assignment yet. Very hard to finish my PCR setup with my hands shaking!
