Yep I remember a Seth haha. Appreciate the enthusiasm man I sub 3.0 GPA wanting to be a doc myself so I get the struggle. Remember, they take yout last 60 separately so if you don't get in take a full load of classes and make damn sure you get a 4.0. You still got a good chance to get in as we were the 2nd group to interview so you're high up on the waitlist. Head up, you got this!I‘m Seth, white guy with blonde hair, I‘m not sure we spoke to one another there. I was likely waitlisted because of my stats haha, 503 MCAT, 2.96 sGPA, 3.02 cGPA I believe. Likely, the only reason I received an interview is because my last 60 credit hours I was taking mostly upper level science courses and managed around a 3.5 GPA for both science and cumulative. Fingers crossed someone gives up their A come May-June time because I really liked Noorda and the impression it gave on interview day.
^^ this, I don’t interview till October 30thDoes anyone who has interviewed so far remember if they mentioned how quickly their class usually fills up? I’m not interviewing until next week because I didn’t pick a September date fast enough and I’m afraid it’s going to hurt my chances.
Just checked. There’s still in person dates for OctoberTo those who got IIs, are there still plenty of dates available? It seems like they signed up a lot since dates go pretty far.
Just a smidge worried they spent a lot of their II quota at this point.
They mentioned today that they felt like they were still early in the process.Does anyone who has interviewed so far remember if they mentioned how quickly their class usually fills up? I was also there today and I agree. The interview was far more conversational than I expected and my interviewer was very laid back. They mentioned today that they felt like they were still early in the process.
There are still virtual dates for December, Jan and feb when I checked last as well.
Had the virtual interview today and overall, I echo what everyone else has said! It was really laid back , they were great about answering questions and it seems like the new facility will have be running smoothly next year. So I’m excited and crossing my fingers until I hear back!

I interviewed September 29th. I believe we were the 2nd group overall to be there. There were 30 people. Post interview acceptance for most schools is around 40-50%. Assuming the 1st group a week before us also had 30, that means around 13 people are accepted each group/week. They have 190 spots. Theoretically, 26/190 spots max have been taking assuming no one has declined their A. I do believe you're fine. Good luck!Does anyone who has interviewed so far remember if they mentioned how quickly their class usually fills up? Hope this means a II wave is on its way. I would love to gain acceptance here!Just to let everyone know, I received an email last night saying they opened up new virtual interview dates due to demand! It’s for October 25th and November 15th. I snagged a spot for 10/25![]()
Seems like they do waves once a monthHope this means a II wave is on its way. I would love to gain acceptance here!
Yeah...so hopefully it will come soon in October.Seems like they do waves once a month
Noorda is very holistic! I received an II despite a sub 500 MCAT. I pray you get off the WL!!I‘m Seth, white guy with blonde hair, I‘m not sure we spoke to one another there. Sorry I can’t be super helpful with your questions, but how do you feel the school lacks diversity?
Not true, current friend that goes there said it was 98%
My apologies, multiple students (my friends) did confirm this is true, I do not attend here but was accepted early on last cycleHello, I just got a tip that Noorda-COM's comlex pass rate was 79% and Step 1 was 75%. Can anyone confirm this?
Woah, that is scary low. Pretty disappointing news as I am a big believer in everything they are doing. This is definitely making me re-think things. My apologies, multiple students did confirm this is true
79% is much lower than the national average. Might be the lowest pass rate I have seen.During the Q and A with the founding dean, he mentioned it was slightly below the national average. I don’t remember the exact percentage.

It is still a fairly new school though79% is much lower than the national average. Might be the lowest pass rate I have seen.
According to ATSU‘s data sheet of nation wide pass rates by year, that‘s the lowest yearly pass rate of any school in the country dating back to the 2016-2017 test year. CHSU had a pass rate of 80% for 21-22, which was the lowest in the country by a mile that year, and for any of the years listed, but this year they just reported the pass rate was 95%, making Noorda’s pass rate now the lowest by a wide margin. The next lowest pass rate that‘s been reported for the most recent test year is 88.2% at LMU-DCOM. Let‘s hope that 79% is just a rumor like the 98% number was, because everything Noorda was doing with its curriculum management seemed so well thought out.

3rd year student hereHello, I just got a tip that Noorda-COM's comlex pass rate was 79% and Step 1 was 75%. Can anyone confirm this?
We have a ton of interests groups including anesthesiology! I think pretty much every specialty has a club right now! As far as clinical research goes, do we have clinical trials happening? Haha no, but there is a ton of benchwork lab, lit reviews, surveys, etc. At last years research symposium there were over 100 posters presented. There are also a lot of students who have created their own projects with the help of faculty members. Finding research won’t be a problem at Noorda. Can any current students comment on specialty interest groups/clinical research in specific specialties? I’m pretty set on anesthesiology and was wondering if there is an interest group for it!
Hello! I understand that it is the inaugural class I’m sure it will only improve from here like most schools do! Good luck!3rd year student here
I’m sure official publications will be made soon, but yes that data is accurate. I want to remind you all that we are the inaugural class and that we are right on average for inaugural classes boards results (70-85% is about average). The Learning services team gave an amazing presentation to the current students on Friday about what they learned from our class. They have already changed a lot in regards to the “boards Prep” part of our curriculum. Also it should be noted that only about 40/90 students took step 1. The pass rate will get better and better with every class after us. We are a new school and with that comes a lot of growing pains. This is one of my class’ growing pains. I understand that this may be worrisome for prospective students. Considering everything, I still have zero regrets with my decision to attend Noorda. I’m happy to address more concerns about this topic.

That just means one has to whip out the books and do a lot of self-study.Pretty bummed by those rates, especially since Noorda is my only A so far. I wonder if it has anything to do with them canceling their grand opening of the new building until next year.
Well, I plan on that no matter where I end up for school 🙂. I like Noorda and I think they will work through this and end up being a top notch school. But hey, maybe I just drank too much of their Kool-Aid haha. That just means one has to whip out the books and do a lot of self-study.
Thank you for the informative reply. I really appreciate it!3rd year student here

Haha the Kool-Aid might be flowing through my veins rn but I am a pretty firm believer that what you put into something you'll get out. Any school can give you all the resources but it's up to the individual to make the magic happen. The way Noorda's curriculum is designed, you have to have some decent self-discipline to keep up the studying and not fall behind. The only mandatory things on campus are a couple hours in Pod a day and a couple of hours in labs in a week. Anyways the board exams are beasts and they suck no matter what hahah, but yall can make it through them!Well, I plan on that no matter where I end up for school 🙂. I’m not sure if they’re still sending invites out, but if I go back to the initial link that I scheduled my interview through it looks like there are 7 in-person dates and 4 virtual dates available still with interview openings. Is there still hope for interviews?
I think an A is still in your future. At least you have a II - that gives you a fighting chance!Has anyone been accepted with a sub 500 MCAT? I have a 498 and I feel like I’m cooking up a WL even though I have an II

I know this question was answered, but you can also find most of the interest groups on Instagram for information! Just search Noorda COM and they will show up!Can any current students comment on specialty interest groups/clinical research in specific specialties?
