Those who have received the secondary and are interested in the JMP, can you share the prompts specific to the JMP? I believe there are two such prompts. Thanks!

1. What MS project or research interests might you pursue at the JMP? Why is it important for you to do so during medical school? Why is the unique course of study offered by the JMP important to you? (300 words)

2. In alignment with the inquiry processes of the MS degree, the JMP uses an inquiry-based education process called problem-based learning (PBL) to acquire and integrate the foundational science knowledge of medicine. In this method, groups of 8 students engage with authentic medical problems that lead them to identify learning gaps, researching and sharing content sources, and collaboratively construct knowledge. What are the pros and cons for you of this collaborative and self-directed method (in contrast to lectures or other methods)? Give an example of a difficulty that arose in collaborative work within a small group, and how you handled it. (300 words)

3. The JMP’s vision is to develop anti-racist physician and public health changemakers. Why is the unique course of study offered by the JMP important to you? (300 words)

People who received IIs, is it for MD only? Or is it for programs that are combined like MD+JMP, etc?

Also for anyone interested, I emailed admissions about wether JMP and Regular MD interviews are separate and this was the response I received:
"We have streamlined the process with zoom interviews such that we can interview applicants for MD and JMP on the same day."

Anybody know the dress code for the informational session? Thanks!

Still waiting on the secondary. Verified 2 weeks ago.
You’re probably going to be waiting awhile, honestly. I got mine about 4 weeks after verification and there are routinely people who get them 12+ weeks after verification. They have a very thorough secondary screening process. Try not to stress too much.

Hey all, I got a secondary from them last week and I'm complete today. My third app and the first time receiving a secondary invite! Does anyone know how long it could take for an interview invite if I submitted today? I don't have high hopes because of how competitive it is but wondering if I should give up hope despite submitting a secondary lol

Honestly, you might even expect to receive interview invites as late as January/February. I'd say try to keep yourself busy and not think about it too much in the meantime. 🙂

Radio silence since secondary
At the AAMC fair yesterday the UCLA prime person said they have a ton more to screen and are planning to let folks know about interviews in December -- obvs a totally different school but maybe that's some hope that UCSF PRIME is also still chugging along through screening
