Hi! OOS applicant was just accepted off the waitlist and am also looking for a female roommate to move into a 2 bed/2 bath Eagle Flatts apartment. PM if anyone is still looking for a roommate.

Also, on their website, move-in date is August 16th, which will be well after classes have started. Does anyone know if we are able to move in earlier? I tried calling but was not able to get into contact with them.

Congrats. Do you mind me asking when were you placed on alternate list and when you got accepted?

It’s a Christian campus so no alcohol, same gender etc etc
^^^ if you are used to that lifestyle/live that lifestyle/etc and haven't lived on your own, that would probably be the only circumstance in which i would remotely reccomend it. you're gonna deal with:
-shared bathrooms
-fire alarms
-no alcohol, no space heaters, no opposite gender visitors, restrictions on what kind of items you can have in your dorm
-violations of the policies can get you kicked out of the med school.

Hi! I'm interested! Are you open to other apartments like The Met as well?

After sending in the registration form and seat deposit, when should we expect the background check and drug screening?

What is the dress code for the school? What color scrubs do we need? Does it need to have our name or ... imprinted on it?

you will get your color info from the school. Dress code is scrubs or business but all of us do scrubs for the obvious reason. yes you need the patch on sleeve and name imprinted, scrubs n more in town can do it for you!

Thanks a lot. I am assuming more info about the background check, drug screening, immunization, and registration will come after seat deposit, right?

@Ellesandra319 do we submit our rotation site preference list in first or second year? if in second year, how early in 2nd year do we create our list or apply? how much in advance does the admin send out the rotation sites list?

there are no preference lists. everything happens second year. for application sites, the open applications / announce sites around october-ish and selections are annouced beginning of february. shortly after, the lottery happens for everyone that didn't apply or was not accepted to an application site (usually 70%ish of the class). there are not preferences in the lottery. you are randomly assigned a number the day before, and they simply go in numerical order on lottery day and you pick where you want to go from what is left. if you are say #5 you're gonna get your choice, but if you are #120, you are gonna have slim pickings as they say. hahaha after that is the appeals process etc if you have an extreme extenuating circumstance.

that said, i would NOT solely choose to come to WCUCOM based on the fact they have a hubsite in a location you desire. of course take it into consideration, but NO hubsite slot is guaranteed until either your application is accepted or you pick your spot during the lottery!

Random question but does anyone know if parkwest apartments have carpet or wood/vinyl flooring in the living room and kitchen?

probably depends on the apartment, but several of my friends have vinyl/wood in the living spaces and bathroom and carpet in the bedroom

I'm thinking either 1 or 2 beds. Planing to use the second as an office/ place for visiting family to stay. Mainly just looking at the amenities, crime, noise, the community within the apartment and how the actual apartment was. I went to visit William Carey earlier this week because I had a work trip in new Orleans, so just wanted to see the place a little. Lovely delta delayed me 3 hours so I was only able to tour the campus. I had a bunch of apartment viewings scheduled that I had to cancel.

I currently live at Breckenridge and renewed my lease there, feel free to PM

I found that parkwest seemed to be a little cheaper than the rest of the two if money is the main concern
it absolutely is, but as you asked out of the 3 which would you recommend for incoming first year out of state, I would reccomend the Met and Breckenridge over park west! but park west is lovely!

If we get accepted, how much longer after the seat deposit is paid can we complete further steps? Can someone please give some insight and a breakdown of what to expect? Thanks a lot

I emailed them letting them know I submitted my deposit and then it took about 5 days to get the next steps. So you’ll likely get info about scrubs, setting up your email, canvas, joining the facebook group, orientation, etc.

Thanks a lot. Does the background check, drug screening, and ... take too long? Because we are getting closer to start date and I am worried about being short on time

No they didn’t take long at all. Both things took less than a week to complete and to get the results. You still have plenty of time.

Can someone please send me the accepted students groupme?

I’m trying to choose between TouroCOM montana and WCUCOM. Proximity wise - I live in Florida. Any input?

proximity wise - i mean montana is... *farther* by a LOT. great falls is pretty rural? are you used to that?

objectively though: Touro Montana has been open for less than (1) year and has not matched a class. i think anyone would tell you that that a pretty big risk, especially when you have the option to go to a more established school that has matched 10 years of students. The fact its associated with Touro makes no difference. Its still a brand new school that hasn't even had a year of kinks worked out. Unless you have some massive extenuating reason (family in Great Falls, family on faculty, etc.) the choice feels pretty obvious to me.

That said, i would make a list of priorities that are the most important to you, and then decide which school meets more of those priorities!
