How much do you think timing takes into account for secondaries? I was verified 5/30 and I haven’t gotten anything. Bit worried now.
remember that we have the literal whole cycle ahead of us! it's still super early, so while I'm disappointed I think we should stay calm 🙂

Some people from SoCal don't even receive secondaries here. I think initial secondaries are sent out to people with certain zip codes and then slowly trickle out to people with ties to UC Davis and Northern California (maybe through their activities).
Yes I've heard something similar where people with norcal/central California addresses automatically get sent secondaries whereas for people with ties to norcal/central CA but don't necessarily live there have to get manually screened for a secondary invite rather than having it automatically sent

I do think all applicants are screened, I asked UC Davis in an email earlier in the cycle when I was especially neurotic.

I haven't gotten anything yet and I'm literally a Davis alum who's working at their hospital 🙁 Submitted 05/30

do the people reviewing the scholarly pathways essays also see your main UC Davis activity essays? I have some repeated activities that are relevant for me to talk about in both applications, and am not sure if I should be repeating information

If my university has a unique chemistry sequence (aka UC Berkeley) do you think I have to email admissions explaining? Or would they just know since it is a flagship school?

if you check the Berkeley Prehealth career center website it tells you how to classify the chemistry sequence.

OOS (INTL, actually) submitted 5/28, and it's the only secondary I haven't received. I have a feeling I might have given them a nice little $40 donation...

Do they send you a confirmation that they received your primary? Or do you just get a secondary without any confirmation?

Hi! Let's say I have an organic chemistry class I took for one quarter that was 4.0 units but AMCAS converts it to 2.7 semester units. Do I put 2.7 under "units" in the secondary or should I put 4.0 since I marked that it's a quarter system? Also, is it okay if the date finished is not exact? I took some of these courses a few years ago and simply do not remember/can't find info about it.
i put my quarter system units, so "4" in your case. I didn't remember the dates of my courses but I searched up like "(insert college name here) 2021-22 calendar" and found the dates of finals week and final date of instruction on there and used that to fill stuff out.

I put the AMCAS units 🙁 should I email them or just wait for a potential II and clear it up then?

verified 07/16, received secondary 07/18
my legal residency is OOS but born, raised and high school in sac county so not sure if that makes me IS or OOS ?

in North Cal (San Francisco), still waiting... didn't receive secondary last year as an OOS, thought this year would be better😢

I am in your same boat and I will be putting 2.7 semester units for my 4 unit quarter classes. The guide at the top for example says "Organic or Other Chemistry, one year ; Minimum units: 8 units" --> It then defines one year as 2 semesters (4 unit x 2 = 8 unit minimum) or 3 quarters (2.67 units x 3 = 8.0 unit minimum) . At least this is how I interpreted it! Good luck this cycle friend

Admissions said to put the quarter units. Good luck to you too! <3

Any Davis alumni still waiting for secondaries? 🙁 I'm getting really worried

This is extremely early in the whole app process. It’s waaay too early to worry.
ugh I know, it's so hard not to worry seeing people who submitted after me get them though LOL. neuroticism is fully kicking in i hate it

Wow, I just got an email from UCD saying they have received my primary application and is under review for secondary invitation. I was verified on 5/29 and am from SoCal. I guess hope may not be lost.

This. They are probably going in order of people closest to Sacramento and outward. One thing I'm realizing is there's not much we can do to guess what goes on in adcom. Trust the process and lock in I guess?

+1 application acknowledgement but why do I feel like it's a soft hold since other people got secondaries right away without the acknowledgment

I got a primary acknowledgement just now and I’m a Davis alum living in Sacramento, so I think it’s lowkey kinda random

They said they send secondaries from july through january. I wouldnt worry until you get the R.

+1 Application acknowledgment, Socal but went to college in Norcal

got an acknowledgment. Verified 7/5. Live in SoCal but have 900 hours of nonclinical in NorCal

Just a PSA they are aware the dates in their acknowledgment email (at least my email) were from last cycle and will update them.
