I don’t think there will be any reply until May for all DO schools people who are placed on waitlist or until end of May to beginning of June

anyone know if they've filled their seats? interviewed recently and I'm curious

Hello! Does anyone know if this school is done interviewing? I've had radio silence since I submitted my app in early Sep. Thanks 🙂

It seems they “normally” complete interviewing in March. Last year, however, they offered a few May interviews.(The end-of-cycle shuffle probably opened a few unexpected seats.)

Does anyone know what a typical weekly schedule looks like at UNE?? When I went for the tour in November students said lecture was optional and you were able to attend virtually, but I'm reading on various threads that lecture is mandatory, and you have to be on campus 5 days a week.

Hi,
I’m trying to remember from a few conversations with students so I could be a little off. Basically they said that even though you don’t have to attend most lectures you do have in person omm and anatomy lectures/labs and some other in person things so first year they went in to campus 5ish days a week while in second year things shifted a little and some people went in closer to 3-4 days a week.

Maybe a student could confirm but I heard that lectures are usually optional. Sometimes, like when faculty is lecturing for the first time, it is mandatory. (I would've heard that at either an Info Session or during the Biddeford experience day.)

Does anyone have any interview advice? My interview is this week and the panel-style interview sounds very intimidating to me, would love any input from those who previously interviewed!

In my opinion, this was one of the best interview experiences I've had so far! the faculty were super nice and it felt very conversational. in terms of the panel-style interview, they just took turns asking questions, so it kind of just felt like a regular interview to me. the best way you could prepare is knowing why UNECOM, why DO, and also make sure to look over your app because they definitely read through it and might ask relevant questions. i was super nervous going in as well but it was a lot less intimidating than i expected. I interviewed a few weeks ago so I'm still waiting for a decision. Good luck!

Thank you! Definitely eases up the nerves a little bit haha

The first time a professor lectures, attendance is mandatory. After that, you come as you wish or listen to the recording later

You will be on campus 5 days with only 4 hours mandatory classes each day i.e. Monday is donor lab, Tuesday you have integrated and case based learning, wed and Thurs are clinical skills/omm labs, and you have donor again Friday.

Lectures are up to 4 hours Monday, Tues, and Fri with occasional asynch lectures.

The spring schedule for first year will change to include an integrated clerkship (working with a doc in office like a mini rotation), so I'm not sure how that will shift things around

Also as a general aside to those waiting to hear back about the waitlist - I totally feel your pain and was in your position a year ago. I was initially waitlisted and heard back after memorial day. Current classmates of mine were accepted DURING orientation week, so believe me when I say it's not over until it's over. Show continued interest, attend in person/virtual events if you can, write your letter of intent if this is your #1. What's meant to be will come, and I very much hope I see you guys next year!!!

Thank you for the inspiration! It came at a great time!

I got waitlisted early March and already sent my letter of intent. Is it possible for me to send another one right now or do they not accept more than one?

My interview this morning had to get rescheduled due to technical difficulties for the faculty member that was supposed to interview me. Anyone know how long before they reach out to reschedule? I sent an email immediately after but haven't heard back on next steps yet :/

This happened to me as well. They reached out the next day via phone call

Is it safe to assume theyre done sending out II? Havent heard anything from them besides their promotional emails and telling me to apply
I'm in the same boat and holding out hope against hope. Last year, it seems there were more than a few IIs sent out in May. The fact that you haven't received an R means, if this year is like last, there is still a chance...
