Has anyone heard of them handing out IIs in January? I got a secondary from them in June and still haven't heard back :/

I received a January interview recently. From what I saw on the signup portal, there were 3 dates in January to interview for...so far. Hope this helps and I hope you get an interview as I've seen you on a few threads I'm following as well.

Thank you so much!

Wondering how late into the cycle they do interviews? I submitted back in June or July and haven’t heard anything as an OOS. Should I keep hoping or realistically is the time kinda passed?
Yeah me too. Just registered for my LSAT today and completing my law school application. Much more nicer to the non traditional returning student.

As a former med student who successfully completed his first year I think the process has become too burdensome. Suing pharma companies and medical malpractice is more beneficial social justice for society.

Good luck to all!

Does TCOM interview past match day? I would assume not but just curious.

Is my understanding correct that TMDSAS only requests applicants to send in official transcripts once they've been accepted (matched)? Has anyone else who is still being considered for admission been asked to send their official transcripts to TCOM showing the completion of all prerequisite coursework?

TMDSAS will ask you for your complete transcript/transcripts after your first acceptance offer. The school you finally choose to enroll in will ask for their own copy, sent to them officially from your college

Hi everyone I'm a 1st year at TCOM and would love to offer any advice/answer questions if y'all have any!!

one of my friends actually interviewed in march last year! she got her acceptance the first day of orientation lol
Yes, there were questions as to why they were interviewing after the match date last year.

Current students or other well-informed applicants: How solid are clinicals here? I've heard Methodist is top notch, but I know they're tied to somewhere in corpus christi and some other far-away spots. What percentage of students aren't able to stay in FW for 3rd and 4th year?

Interviewed on the 10th. Does anyone else still not have TCOM showing up on their TMDSAS rank list?

So is the anatomy lab permanently shut down or is the stuff in the news not apart of the medical school labs?

UNTHSC news
How common are such changes in leadership? I noticed that TCOM's US and World news report ranking seems to have shot up exponentially in the last five years from 72 in 2020 to 11 in 2024. Any thoughts on how the recent leadership changes, Dean Filipetto stepping down, President Trent-Adams resigning by mutual agreement might impact TCOM's reputation as a top medical school? How do multiple unexpected leadership changes affect an organization's work culture/productivity, and how might that impact the quality of their med school?

Seems normal especially with the holidays having slowed things down. I interviewed Sept and heard back Nov. so I imagine your wait will be over soon
True, true! And big congrats to you! We have until the 31st for prematch offers; and then it’s Match Day in a couple of weeks, so it will be soon one way or another hehe

Im not sure how common these changes are. In terms of student life, nothing has really changed for us except for who gives us motivational speeches at orientation hahaha I hope that this does not affect anything in the future but in terms of curriculum, student life, and everything else that impacts our lives as students, nothing has changed.

Well I guess this is it guys! Tomorrow is the last day allowed for prematches 🙂 Still, Match Day is 2 weeks from tomorrow so we’ll know soon either way! I was one of the end November interviewees and the Dean said not to expect any news until after Winter Break, but, unless offers were made and folks didn’t report on here, I guess something must have thrown off the expectations they reported because I haven’t seen any prematches reported on here after Winter Break. Good luck to us all!

For what it’s worth, I did not prematch. I matched on match day.

My friends were about 50/50 prematch vs match.
I mean people who prematch anywhere usually have more interviews or prematches somewhere else, so not getting a prematch doesn’t mean you won’t get in. Usually a lot of them end up going somewhere else. This happens at every school barring may be UTSW or BCM
