2025-2026 Morehouse

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Are there any current Morehouse students on here? I need to ask a few questions

For the people who’ve already interviewed, any advice for us with upcoming interviews?

For those that already interviewed did they mention if decisions will be sent out on October 15th or another date? In the portal it says acceptance letters will be sent out mid-November.

When I asked, they said they review apps about 2-4 weeks after the interview and then it may take another week or so for them to send decisions

Looks like some people were accepted yesterday according to admit.org

On admit people got placed on the waitlist last night. They said to check your portal if you have already interviewed and haven't heard back yet. Sorry to everyone who got waitlisted

+1 interviewed early october and haven’t heard anything. I checked my portal this morning and I was waitlisted. It would’ve been nice if they could do us the courtesy of emailing us our decision instead of having to find out from SDN considering a lot of us traveled from hundreds of miles away to attend the interview :/

For those of us who interview in October, do you think we will hear back before thanksgiving? The wait is killing me 🙁

At my interview they said it could take a month to hear back. So for me that’d be at the tail end of November. Maybe we will if they want to finish up and get it out of the way before thanksgiving but maybe it could be a bit longer if not bc of Thanksgiving break.

What are interviews like, and who conducts them? What's the setup?

could anyone please tell me about the interview itself? they didn't mention whether it's closed/open file, who ur interviewers would be or how many for each. also, did they actually last one hour each?

Hi, congrats on getting an interview! It’s an open-file, one-on-one traditional interview. You’ll interview with two staff members, usually professors, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each interview lasts about 30 minutes (not a full hour).

The day itself is very relaxed and welcoming. You won’t know who your interviewers are until you arrive, but don’t worry, they’re not there to grill you. They genuinely just want to get to know you and learn more about your journey.

Overall, it’s a chill and enjoyable experience. Just be yourself and let your personality shine. You also get to interact with the dean and also get to hang out with other interviewees the whole day. You also get to meet some current morehouse students. Good luck, you’ve got this!

@Brimed2026 hit on everything tbh but i just wanted to say one of my interviews was closed file but she explained that it was her preference so she could completely get to know me with no background info. Not sure how common that is but my other was open file.

Is it too late to submit a secondary at this point?

Any late October interviewees hear back yet?

Has anyone received an II and submitted their 2º late sept/early oct?

Has anyone received any decisions post-II? According to Admit.org, no decisions have been released since the end of October/the start of November.
