For those accepted, I'd really love to hear take on their match list from within NY and outside NY. Sincerely, an OOS w/ A deciding between Rochester and NYMC. My concern is that NYMC is maybe not as strong traditionally/well recognized and won't have the same matching strength. But I also don't know enough about the school to know if this is real or not.

That's what I hear, though i'm from the south and not sure if I want to stay in NYC area, so I'm hesitant to full send NYMC if I can't pivot to other regions that may suit me better in 4 years.

Sorry if someone already asked, but anyone know how long the actual interview portion is? I saw the email said about 72 minutes, but that seems really long?

Its an MMI circuit so its 72 minutes total with 7 interviews and 1 break so a little less than 72 technically

+1 OOS pre II hold. got the same thing last year then a rejection like 3 months later so ill count myself out. i wish they would just reject at this point

does this mean they’re done sending IIs?
from my pre II hold email

"New York Medical College conducts interviews from September through the end of March. Applications on hold may be reviewed again for possible interview selection through mid‑March."

this is the first thing I've heard that isn't an R lol (other than my 2 IIs which one already Rd me)

If you didn't get a pre-II hold does that mean you can potentially expect an interview then? or that your chances for one are better?

+1 pre-II hold (on Tuesday)

I see that some people said this is one of the places where it is not necessarily a soft R.

Has anyone in past cycles received this pre-II hold and been interviewed? Does emailing an update actually help?

No idea....tbf I sent them an update letter like 10 days before the pre-II holds so I don't know if thats why I didnt get anything from them., but I'm also antsy to hear from them

Have any admitted students gotten any communication about procedures/ deadlines for applying for financial aid? Not sure if I should be expecting an email or starting to hunt that down on my own (have already added them to my FAFSA).

wondering this same thing, haven't heard much from the school - did anyone get financial aid info who was accepted or know when we'll get it?

Does anyone know if for the photo confirmation for the interview, does it have to be passport or can it be license?
