+1 IS II on 9/17! Complete on 8/9 🙂
This literally happened to me earlier today. Fortunately after 2 resets I was able to get in but still. Is anyone else having trouble logging into their portal? It says: Your login attempt was not successful. Please try again.
I already changed my password twice since this began happening and I don't want to have to change my password everyday just to check the portal... Anyone going through this?
If I reset it again, it'll be my 3rd time doing thisThis literally happened to me earlier today. Fortunately after 2 resets I was able to get in but still.
It's been doing that to me from the beginning. Overall I've probably reset it 6 times but that's only because I had stopped logging on as regularly. It's the only portal that's doing it too.If I reset it again, it'll be my 3rd time doing this![]()
I've been having this problem too, and sometimes it takes a few tries for the confirmation email to even be sent.Is anyone else having trouble logging into their portal? It says: Your login attempt was not successful. Please try again.

I’d like to know if anyone here can corroborate the legitimacy of this practice happening at TTU HSC. Generally, this already highlights a concerning direction Texas's institutions of higher education are moving in, but this is the first time I'm seeing this permeating into medical school curriculum as well.At HSC, med students can't even shadow a physician if they are treating a trans patient.
Trans people have specific healthcare needs, and part of the plan is to harm trans folx through denial of adequate treamtent-- by refusing to teach about these needs.
Thank you for your response. While the information you've provided about the past curriculum is somewhat heartening, these new reports coming out about future changes at TTU system campuses still has me a bit nervous. They're talking about removing mentions of transgender topics from curricula and syllabi, referring to students by legal names, removing safe-space stickers or LGBTQ flags, removing pronouns from email signatures, and even forbidding faculty from defending faculty who do discuss these topics. It's completely draconian.Idk about a policy that explicitly prevents students from shadowing when a trans patient is getting care. There may be a policy like that in place because it may be a sensitive subject. For some patients, we've been asked to not go in the room. The easiest example I can think of this is pregnant patients that have a miscarriage or stillborn birth. I've also been asked to not interact with patients who are getting a new cancer diagnosis. So MAYBE there is some policy with that with some faculty but I have never heard of it as an official thing.
We also had a lecture in MS1 or MS2 that specifically talked about healthcare for tran patients. It was by a family medicine faculty who is LGBTQIA+ friendly and has helped several hundred trans patients transition or at least been involved in their care. Texas isn't super trans friendly but TTU hasn't explicitly done anything that would make me think they are not.
Texas A&M also recently fired multiple staff and a dean for expressing transgender ideologies in classrooms (I think it was a literature course). Texas is a big red state, and it will probably become even worse for communities of the LQBTQ or other marginalized groups in the coming years under the Trump admin.Current HSc student here. Lubbock has sent out invitations on 18 separate dates, so far.Hi, anyone know how does the interview invites work for Lubbock? My kid submitted secondary in July and so far no interview invites? She got couple from top tier in Texas, but not Lubbock, so confused.
ok, thanks, so shouldn't expect any interview invites from them i guess.Lubbock has sent out invitations on 18 separate dates, so far.
Not everyone's app will fit what a particular school is looking for in a class
No one knows for sure. The only things you can be certain of are what wysdoc just mentioned:ok, thanks, so shouldn't expect any interview invites from
them i guess.

Thank you for bringing up this issue. I also have similar concern with the change in culture of med schools. I chose medicine to provide care for all. I wonder to what extent politics will affect the morality of medicine and training experience of med students. HSC is one of my top choices because of the diversity in student body/ faculty. I hope they will try their best to shield students from political conflict to uphold the ethics of medicine.Thank you for your response. That is not what I said, @Supermom16ok, thanks, so shouldn't expect any interview invites from them i guess.
congrats! if you don't mind me asking, when did you submit your secondary? I submitted mine a little late and I'm a tiny bit worried/neurotic+1 IS II yesterday, 10/2. Did anybody else receive one yesterday? Currently a MS student at TTUHSCEP.
Yes, they do prematch and it does come out Oct 15. I think last year it was Oct 22 because they were having an issue with their system.Does anybody know if Texas Tech sends As during the Oct 15th week or if they even do so pre-match? This was never answered during my interview day.
I've been curious about this as well.Does anyone know about how many they prematch
I interview on the 15th so I'll be sure to let you know if they turn around and pre match me right after my interview 🤘I've been curious about this as well.
Could you share your experiences and insights from your classmates (if applicable) on which factor is more likely to result in a pre-match offer, between high stats and school fit?HSC typically prematches several IS applicants and accepts several OOS applicants on 10/15. They were delayed last year by about a week because of a data breach/IT issues, which have since been resolved. When I got accepted, I got an email shortly before 11 AM CST. Those emails came individually (not all at once), so please don't freak out if you see that someone got an acceptance and you did not. If you get a prematch/acceptance tomorrow, congratulations! If you're hoping for one but don't get it, don't fret because the fact that you've gotten an interview by now is a good sign and HSC has lots of match and/or waitlist movement.
Hi! Thank you so much for this info, it's very helpful. Could you please specify what constitutes a "good" MCAT? Do you mean those slightly above the school's average of 509ish or do you mean more like a 520? This could be in your case and/or the trend you've seen in the other students who also prematched. Thanks! Some schools value stats far more than others. HSC values fit far more IMO. I say that because the average GPA/MCAT here is not insanely high, and there are a lot of people who have West Texas ties, went to TTU for undergrad, etc. However, the day after I was accepted, I went to a public event with the SOM dean. I introduced myself as an incoming student and said I had been accepted the day before. He said something along the lines of, "Well, you must have a great MCAT," which was true. I had good ties to the school and a good GPA/MCAT. While I think that fit is extremely important, the fact that the dean's first reaction was to assume I had good stats says a lot about the priority of early offers.
I'm speculating here, but I would guess that is because they want people with good statistics to consider attending TTU. The people with a 4.0/520 are far more likely to get multiple offers than someone with a 3.0/500. By offering a seat early, the school may be hoping that those applicants are more likely to end up at HSC when compared to getting an offer from TTUHSC late in the cycle after they've already gotten other offers. So my assumption is that HSC values stats and fit a lot, but that the ratio of importance between stats and fit is higher early in the admissions cycle.
I obviously haven't interviewed everyone in my class to see objective data on this, but it seems that the average person I know who got pre-matches is way smarter than me but the average person who got off the waitlist has struggled a lot more academically (remediating exams, getting off cycle, etc.).

I just received a pre-match offer this morning! I'm in shock. LM 69.IS II received earlier today, 7/29! Secondary transmitted on 7/20.
You can (and should) accept all your pre-match offers and then rank your schools for Match Day.Hey ya'll the pre-match letter says that we must accept or decline the offer by October 29th, 2025. I thought we had until the end of the prematch window to accept offers? Also is the pre-match acceptance fee waivable like the secondary application fee? Thanks everyone!!
Yes, check out my explanation HERE+1 IS A, LM 69, no reseach experience!
Just one question... forgive me for being dumb and still a little confused about the pre-match/match thing :')
The letter says we have until 10/29 to accept the offer, this offer is not binding until the match day right? Like if I get another pre-match A from another school later in Dec, I can still have until January to decide?
I had mine 9/12!Congratulations on everyone who pre-matching. Do yall mind stating when yall had your interviews?

should have been offered during.Just finished my interview three hours ago. Shockingly, no prematch yet 😉
I shoulda askedshould have been offered during.
I would definitely reach out to admissions for the specifics but if I remember right from the interview presentation, you are assigned your clinical sites during your first year but there is an appeals process if you receive a site that is not ideal to you. It was not elaborated on how the appeals process works though.I have been fortunate to prematch here, and I am so happy. This school is my top choice in Texas. I have also received an acceptance in Florida and have yet to receive responses from 3 other AMCAS schools. If I choose to attend HSC, I would have to stay in Lubbock because my husband would be working in Lubbock as a physician (his specialty is only open in Lubbock), and I also have a child who is going to start preschool. When I interviewed, one of the students commented that we have to accept the fact that we might be sent out to other locations later, and advised not to buy a house because that is not a valid reason to request staying in Lubbock. How can I ensure that I stay in Lubbock? Do you know students who have been given preference if they have a spouse working in Lubbock and children going to school? Just want to make an informed decision (not trying to make demands, again, I am so grateful for the acceptance). Thanks for your help!
Write them an enthusiastic thank you letter to start with, and of course in the end rank your top choice as #1 for Match DayReal talk though, what the consensus with Letters of Intent to Texas schools? I was kinda blown away by my experience here and they have definitely moved to the top. Lucky enough to have a pre match at another TX MD, does all that justify as LOI? Or do they not care bc of the match process?
