I would email it ASAP. MU-COM likes being "paperless".

Could they just update their AACOMAS
Which would only be updated next Tuesday afternoon, and then the schools would have to upload it, so that would take a few more days... I'd say just email it.
would you guys suggest doing this for fall grades as well? I was planning on having a transcript sent, but I figured I would probably take a screenshot of my grades and email it as well so they would have that info before my interview.
You already have an interview...I doubt that getting your new grades there asap (emailed screenshot) is going to change anything right now. No one will be looking at your grades at the actual interview....it is closed file. However, when you show up at the interview you could bring a physical copy of your grades with you for them to add to your file. That way, after the interview, when the committee meets to discuss your candidacy they will have it.
Pay up HDaddy..😉
Hi everyone.
Do you think they will make decisions regarding the individuals interviewing this weekend before Christmas or do you think the decisions for the 14th and 15th will not be made until after Christmas? Also, do they let you know their decision (accept, reject, wait list) by email for all three? Or do they mail them out?
Thanks!
I think decision for this weekend's interviews will be made before Christmas. I only think this because I know they are also doing interviews next weekend (I have a friend going in on the 21st 🙂 ), so therefore their office will not be closed yet and I don't see why they wouldn't be making decisions on the 20th
From what I have gathered by talking with other people and viewing this thread: acceptances are given out via phone call on Thursday afternoon/evening, waitlists are given out via phone call on Friday afternoon/evening, and rejected applicants are emailed (not sure of the day, but I believe that is also Friday). Hope this helps and good luck!! 👍
Great. Thank you Dr. Meows! That is a quick turnaround. I didn't know if they made decisions every Thursday or if they waited until they had a couple rounds complete and then made decisions on that whole group every couple of weeks. Thanks!
No problem! I know they try to make it so they make decisions on everyone within a week. However, I know in previous weeks some people had to wait two weeks because they didn't have enough time to review all of the interviewees. I'm pretty sure they caught up on that though by having like a 6 am meeting or something crazy like that one Thursday! I hope they're all caught up for you 😀
Just received an email - said my application on hold! What does that mean and do I still have a shot?
Does anyone know how the wait list works? I understand they rank people into the four quartiles, but if you are in the middle or last quartile and they keep adding people to the list wouldn't that make you go further down the list and decrease your chances of getting an offer for acceptance? And does anyone know when the next time they will be reviewing the list?
It would seem that if someone is lower on the list they would be moved even lower if other students are added at a higher status. You could email the admissions office, and they could probably tell you more definitively.
That is correct... If there is any change they let you know!

Hello friends!
Here's an update I received from a student who interviewed yesterday:
107 offers have been given out, 20 have paid seat deposits
There will be options for students to do 3rd and 4th year rotations in Indianapolis, thereby allowing students to live at the same place if so desired
35 anatomy stations, 45 OMM stations where students work in pairs
The hospital network has expanded to 8,000 beds.
The building is 65% done.
🙂
Is there any update to these numbers? People have said on this forum that Marian will stop recruiting once they offer seats to 150 students. If true, it means competition will be fierce for those of us interviewing in January.

I love the school! But does anyone else also wishes that MU COM mascot/logo is more gender neutral?
i had the same thought!
i was thinking that a more appropriate logo would be the rod of asclepius with a knight's sword in place of the rod.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rod_of_asclepius
also, the cane of caduceus is often misused as the logo for medicine because of the insistence of a single medical officer in 1902.

even sdn is using the wrong logo in the notices box at the top of the page!

Hi Guys
New to SDN.
I was wondering if anyone could give any tips on preparing for the MMI interview.
Thanks in advance

This looks really nice and professional. As far as I know this is the university's official seal, but it says University instead of College since that changed in 2009. (AND it is gender neutral 😀)
This, or something similar would look great on the white coats to represent the University... since we were talking about white coats in the accepted thread!
I interview next friday and I booked a flight out of indianapolis at 8pm...is that a decent timing? Or will I be missing out on "extra activities"?
I think you should be fine. My day ended at like 4:30 (though i was a cohort 1-er, they seemed to have different cohorts doing different things at the same time once all 3 were there). Good luck next week!!![]()
Thank you! If you don't mind me asking, what time did cohort 1 start? I start at 1:30 for cohort 3 which is why I was worrying initially lol 😛
I was in cohort 2 and finished around 5-5:30, good luck with your interview!
