I'm interviewing on the 11th. Sounds like a true med school experience!
 
are interviews mostly on weekends (or certain days of the week)?
I am working both on weekdays and weekends, but would rather take days off on weekdays like Tuesday through Thursday than weekends.

Interviews are only on Fridays and Saturdays.

No, I submitted my secondary on 7/2. Complete 8/14. Still waiting. Just a little frustrating because I submitted quite early but I understand this process takes patience. Just might give MUCOM a friendly call tomorrow just to check in however..

I just really like this school so thats why its a little frustrating. It was the first secondary I sent in for a reason..

The following status updates will be communicated today:
  • On hold, waiting for MCAT score
  • Supplemental not submitted yet
  • Incomplete app due to missing LORs
  • Interview invite reminder
We are still running audit reports for LORs that we missed due to the new AACOMAS, but we believe we are caught up as of 8/26/15. We did not download letters this week. The next download will be 9/7/15. If you submitted LORs before 8/26 and they are still not showing in the portal, please contact us for assistance.

Thank you for your patience while we caught up and understanding if your LORs were not processed fully.

Is sending LOR's through AACOMAS or interfolio more preferable?

AACOMAS is first preference. They are now added to our system weekly. Interfolio is also added weekly. [Except not this week ...]

How are we supposed to upload letters of rec? I assumed MUCOM would just receive them from AACOMAS. Is there some other website or something that I need to use? This hasn't been a problem at any other school, so I'm confused.

MU-COM can download letters from AACOMAS.

Secondary was submitted 8/6. Letters were attached to my primary. Just received an email today stating I'm still incomplete. This is frustrating.

Sorry, but we receive over 500 letters a week. We do make some mistakes. If you see the earlier post, contact us. We've fixed the same issue for other applicants this afternoon.

Same here calbear, I've been complete since early July.......apparently mucom can't take letters from aacomas....

We can and do accept AACOMAS!

Please read the earlier posts. There have been a number of issues with letters due to the new AACOMAS. We have worked very hard to catch up but some files have not been moved over due to a variety of technical issues. We hope you understand.

If you contact us, we will fix it. The director can help too at [email protected].

Any advice on how to practice for MU-COM's MMI interview?
 
Can people who were completed on 8/7 expect to hear a decision by the end of today?

If all goes according to plan, yes. All interview decisions submitted through 2 PM today will be released today.

I've never been so excited to see my letters complete in my life! Now just gotta wait for that complete email. It's been since June 30th. If this process has taught me anything, it's patience.
 
I just got an email thanking me for scheduling my admissions interview....is this a glitch? i was only complete yesterday!

Same here I don't know? I figure I'll call them when I get a minute.
 
Before I explode with excitment--I got what SEEMS like a II email today.
However, the date and time of interview is omitted from the email.

This is what I see, "Thank you for scheduling your admissions interview, which is confirmed for on . "

Anyone else experience the same? Is it an error on their end. Man, I really hope this still means a II.

Edit: Confirmed via phone that it was a mistake.
 
There were 2 dates early September (in 1 week....... ><) or 2 dates early October. Chose to interview October. Yes, it pained me to interview one month later. However, even though it is 1 month later, it is ONLY two interview dates later.. Plus I want to be ready for the MMI, practice for it, do mock MMI's as I have only had 2 traditional interviews and I feel this is a better decision. Hopefully the right one, i just really love this school from what ive learned about it
 
Just want to let MU Admission knows that they're doing a great job right now after a few mishaps earlier in the process.

Hmmm...I haven't gotten an email yet. Should I be concerned or is there still catching up to do?
 
I didn't hear anything either...it looks like no one did but the "glitch" emails??
