I called Tuesday inquiring about that, admissions staff was really nice! They took a few minutes trying to find my files and I got the complete email this morning, you could call them i guess

If you guys feel you're experiencing delays or worried your materials didn't get there, you can either call them or wait. They are still setting everything up with the new incoming class and the merger has slowed things down in different departments, which slows up other processes.

Good luck guys! They have the greatest admissions staff I've ever encountered!

Nope, they sent mine around 6 days after i submitted my primary. It all really depends on how long it's been since AACOMAS shows that you app was "released" which means it was downloaded by the school

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that it is a good idea, once your secondary is in, to make sure they have received all your stuff and have it together. If you live real close I'd recommend to just stop into the admissions office. During last cycle I went in to make sure they had all my stuff together, which they didn't, and twenty minutes later as I got home I received my interview invite call. It definitely helps here to keep in touch with admissions, they are very helpful and receptive. Good luck all!

they will allow you to pay instate tuition after the first year if you've lived in Jersey for the first year of school.

I think they're taking time to process everything. I called the admissions office about 2 weeks ago after I noticed they haven't deposited my check. They said they have all of my materials.

I know that they will for the class of 2017, but I think with the switch to Rowan the policy might change. I'd contact the school and ask about it.

I definitely didn't get a complete email. Being completely neurotic, I checked my spreadsheet. I sent my stuff off on 7/5, and I called the admissions office on 7/28 to confirm they received my secondary. I sent my letters by Interfolio. No complete email yet.

Lol ur not neurotic...well if you are..then i am too (cause i have a spread sheet too). I mailed out my supplemental to rowan on the 18th... Called today and asked if they had my application...she asked for my last name..and said it was there...then i asked if i was supposed to get a complete email and they said they usually didnt.

The lady at Rowan SOM said she would send me a confirmation email...but that was 6 hours ago... and still haven't gotten one.

this is the case with most schools :/ we've gotta stay on top of our own apps and be persistent--i'm not trying to have my app buried in the mix.

Lol very similar to mine. I put school name, secondary received, secondary submit, secondary complete date, lor sent and how they were sent (interfolio sometimes electronically sends letters vs mails them out). Secondary username and password. Application fee and payment confirmation.

Hello everyone!

I'm a little perplexed, and could use a little help. For some reason, I was completely convinced that UMDNJ-SOM was not receptive to Canadians at all. However, I just noticed in the College Information Book that they say that they do consider International Applicants, which is really surprising!

Does anyone know how receptive they are to Canadians, and whether there have been any Canadians who have interviewed/matriculated there recently?

What are the average MCAT and GPA for accepted students?

Students accepted to the 2012 entering class had an average GPA of 3.61 and an average MCAT score of 28.

Do you give preference to in-state applicants?

RowanSOM does give some preference to NJ residents, but out of state applicants are encouraged to apply. We accept competitive applicants from all over the country.

it definitely is heavy on NJ residents but there are plenty of OOS. I think statwise we are about 3.6 GPA and a little over 28 MCAT. They are expecting a lot more apps this year so I'd expect the stats to jump up about .5 points for both this cycle.

I think we have a few international students too.

You received an II for UMDNJ (Rowan) Osteopathic? Adcoms told me that wouldn't be sending them out until the end of the month. Last year the earliest II was given out 8/22. I'm confused...
