I was complete 9/19 and just got a rejection email yesterday. Oh well, thanks for letting me know early, BU!
wow... i was complete 8/14 and nothing! jeez.
I'm glad that I could be of some help to you! I have no problem answering any questions about BU, and I'll be very honest, giving MY opinion on what I like and what I don't like. As for Amelia, I remember his posting a longggg post last year after I interviewed and me thinking "wow, I'd never want to go to a school like that, it must suck if someone hates it this much." But, having done exactly what you say should be done, judging by yourself, I realized how much I liked BU. So anyways, everyone should try to make their own judgment call about BU but if anyone has any questions, I'd be happy to answer them. I may see you during the lunch time of interviews...I think a lot of students like doing these lunches, mostly because we want to share own opinion about BU and give some honest feedback and somewhat because of the free food. You'll find out that you schedule your meetings during the day depending on what kind of food is available there haha. Good luck!
Today I found out...Interview invite 😀 🙂
Waiting is a good sign 😉

Thanks secret! I hope waiting is a good thing, then! 😉You're my new hero! Here's to hoping the rest of us wait-ers have the same outcome as you! Congrats!
Complete 7/31...yeah. Long time ago.Congrats! When were you complete?
I am still waiting, but I was complete 9/5...

yeah...I think I am. But I'm going to wait to schedule it with tuftsYay, I have a sliver of false hope to hang on to. By the way, are you gonna go, considering you have UVa already?

No, no I don't have tufts yet! I'm hoping to get it though. 😳Congrats!! 🙂 You have a tufts interview too? Lucky girl...
No, no I don't have tufts yet! I'm hoping to get it though. 😳
I should have made that clear...my fault! 😳 But if I don't get tufts, I still want to schedule boston at the same time as another east coast school.Ah....lol.

eek.. maybe they are takng a break from the 5th until jan?I scheduled mine for Dec 1. I was also give the option of Nov 19 and Dec 5 but I have a midterm the 19th and a final on the 5th. I asked them if I can schedule the week AFTER the 5th since I will be back east then anyway (in Connecticut) and they said that they weren't doing interviews after Dec 5. I really don't want to freak anyone out that is still waiting - it may very well be that they aren't very good about letting you reschedule.
Oh well, guess I'm flying from Seattle to Boston and then back to NYC in the span of two weeks....

Yeah...I was in the same position. I think it's similar to a hold. Ended up getting an interview invite after a 2 and a half month wait.Does BU have a status change to "Under review"? I'm still at the "Complete" phase after two months, so I'm wondering if they really haven't even looked at my application yet.
I thought BU interviewed in order of secondary completion. is that not true?
I could be mistaken, but I believe that BU circulates each application through a series of independent screeners, each of whom must make their own judgments on whether or not a candidate should be interviewed or rejected. Each screener is most likely responsible for a specific aspect of the application (for example, one might examine only numbers, while another might examine only extracurricular activities). Therefore, how quickly a decision is rendered has more to do with whom the school assigns to the application than it does when the application was officially complete.I thought BU interviewed in order of secondary completion. is that not true?

This timeliness issue comes into play at many schools, especially at those that receive a substantial number of applications. That's why some applicants will receive interview invites or rejections before others, independent of their completion dates.
They received my final LoR, complete today. Official rejection soon to follow - it was a really long shot anyways. Sad 🙁
don't be so negative bro. stay positive!
Thanks, for the words of encouragement. It's hard not to be negative when you read peoples' stats who've been rejected post-sec by BU and they're amazing. 35+ MCAT, rockin' cGPA/BCPM, steller EC's. It's very intimidating.

You're looking at it in a glass-half-empty way. Instead, just look at the stats of all the people who DID get interviews/acceptances and have lower numbers to you; there's bound to be quite a few.
