So how many new classmates did I get tonight?!

You can count me in. My status page still hasn't been updated, but when I called today, I found out that I was accepted!!! So my situation isn't normal - they just haven't updated my iApply status page yet (apparently bc of a holdup in the technical standards form). In fact, I got an email from Dr. Mehta just now. Woohoo, time to go celebrate!!

You have no idea. It's HUGE. It's big enough that I feel like my application cycle is done. DONE. That's how much I like this school and everything about it. It's been a long way (post-bac year, glide year, etc.) and it feels like I'm finally leaving the desert where I've been wandering for years.

GOOD LUCK to you as well, perhaps we might be classmates?!

Has anyone accepted on 12/3 gotten the snail mail packet of stuff yet?

Has anyone accepted on 12/3 gotten the snail mail packet of stuff yet?

It isn't a packet or anything. It is just 2 hard copy of exactly what's on your "You have been accepted to the University Program" status page link with a line to sign and return to acknowledge the acceptance :]

Oh and mine came a week or so after my initial acceptance, so I wouldn't worry!

Okay, thanks! Two sheets of paper... Shouldn't it be a singing telegram or something? 🙂

Just got invited for interviews at CCLCM and UP!!! 😀😀😀 was complete 11/16 (late i know lol)

Just curious, but has anyone who was put on hold post-interview been accepted? Does anyone know if there is a chance that we could be accepted later in the cycle, or is it most likely we'll have to wait until after May and be taken off of a waitlist in order to be accepted at this point?

So, my iApply page finally got updated on 12/11.. has the computer policy link worked for anyone? It gives me a 404 error when I try it. I haven't called the Admissions Office about it yet but I'm wondering what kind of computer I'd have to get.

To everyone else, good luck!!

From what I remember, they give you the choice of either a Macbook or a Dell, pre-loaded with their software and built to their specs. Pretty lame if you ask me.

For what it's worth, the students I spoke to said that the Dell (or whatever Windows machine of the week is) is a better bet because the IT guys can service it themselves instead of sending it to Apple and that most of the homegrown software is a little buggy in any of the windows emulators that the Mac people have to run.

I think that there are benefits to having standardized laptops (I'm holding out with my current old one for this reason). For one, as Loon mentions you get great IT support from a person who specializes in one computer on a daily basis. For two, I know some schools will replace broken or damaged computers/parts for free!

Wouldn't BootCamp take care of the compatibility issues? I'm just wary of getting a Windows machine because the Dell I used in undergrad never failed to give me a BSOD gift at least once a day.

Yeah, I gave my kid brother my old MacBook Pro and am using a MacBook from work (which I'll give back before I leave) so I plan on taking advantage of the standardized laptops. At least I'm free to ponder the question of Mac vs PC... definitely appreciate that.

I <3 case!

hi! i remember a few posts back someone said that there is a meeting on the 17th! and i definitely remember mr. essman's saying that we would hear back before the christmas break! so for those of us who interview this month, we can maybe hear back by end of the week?! i don't want to get too excited but case definitely became my top choice, and i can't help myself! perhaps those who have been accepted can ease my angst- about how many days after admissions meeting were you guys notified??

i just interviewed today (dec 16) and they said the next time they would meet would be jan 5.

I just got notice that I had received an interview invite "recently"....try November 12! Agghhh stupid email forwarding...I probably could have interviewed when I was in Cleveland recently...Oh well I'm still thankful for the opportunity! February 16...a perfect mid-quarter "getaway"!

I interviewed early December and was told about the meeting on 12/17. I too am curious about how many days after the meeting they post notifications online. Anybody care to enlighten?

I was told they were actually meeting today, Tuesday, and we'd have updates on our iapply page by Friday.

Buena suerte everyone!

If I recall correctly, Christian said that they have the meeting tomorrow and then start getting decisions out a few days after. I recall him saying something like the 24th at the latest.

I have a question. My interview is scheduled for early Feb, but I'm worried that i might be interviewing for a waitlist spot since its so late and Case is rolling. Does anyone know if they still give acceptances into Feb? Thanks.

I WANT TO KNOW NOW!!! It is actually kind of painful lol

For the people that called... was that because you were anxious to find out and then they told you over the phone before it was posted?

so whats going on, the adcom meets today right? will we get an email if we interviewed in the last couple of weeks?

i just interviewed today (dec 16) and they said the next time they would meet would be jan 5.

As I remember it, he said that the committee would meet to discuss our (12/16 interviewees) applications on that day.

Checked iapply, accepted, interviewed on December 2nd. Good luck to you all 😀

has anyone checked whos gotten wait listed? or does the status not change?

What does it say if you're accepted?

omg i got in!!!! i seriously thought i would be waitlisted. congrats to all the other folks that were blessed today!!!!😀

What does it say if you're accepted?

Under "University Program Correspondence" it says:
"You have been accepted to the Case School of Medicine University Program"

Then there's a bunch of extra links in "Additional Documents" and a few extra messages below that.

Dude! That's awesome! It's kind of funny that in the case thread there are a lot more people from SDN and we've met each other. It's good to be able to put a face to a...uhh...avatar, lol.
Hopefully see you guys at second look...

Excellent!! Congratulations to everyone who's gotten accepted today

To the person asking about calling for decisions, I called them because I didn't have my status page updated at the time it should have been.. so I called them two days later and found out my decision.
