Remember that's for one semester, not the year.
the U's tuition has increased to $12,171.50 for IS and to $23,043.00 for OS. not as much as i was expecting. 👍

Is that per semester?
That would mean they went from around 18 to around 25K/year. Where did you get that info?

Last year was $21,000 not $18,000 from what I find.
But, I just wanted to point out that the link provided says SUMMER 2009, not FALL 2009...so I wonder if it is not the standard med school tuition?
yup, I just saw that it was for summer... I wonder if it'll stay that way for fall (besides, why would enough medical students take summer classes for them to come up with a tuition schedule just for the summer?)
Either way, if it stays that way for the fall, that's still somewhat cheap - at least compared to the options we have here in ohio.
someone on the wait list should be expecting great news soon! 🙂
Someone else on the wait list should be hearing some good news. I've decided I'm done with the U. It was a hard decision but the truth is that they only made it easy for me to go somewhere else. I'm sure it is a nice school but it is disappointing to me that they don't make an effort to recruit people, and by that I mean be nice to people and send you time sensitive information in a timely manner. When they barred me from applying for financial aid, despite the fact that I requested information and guidance on multiple occasions and received none, I wasn't too keen on going there.
At any rate, good luck to whoever gets my spot.
How were you barred from applying for financial aid? I've never met any medical student at the school that wasn't allowed to apply for financial aid. And everyone gets awarded loans to cover school at the very least.
Couldn't have said it better myself, thanks Pietachok. I'd also point out it was only a few hours late. I called them immediately and all they said was that they couldn't do anything for me. Obviously, I'm accountable for filling these things out myself, but I somehow got removed from the mailing list and when I asked for the info they told me they'd send it right away and then didn't. I'm not looking for a scholarship/handout (however, that'd be nice🙂), I'm just frustrated because I didn't get treated like everyone else.
