I thought telling my story would give everyone who is waiting on an interview or secondary a little relief. I submitted my primary on June 6th. My transcripts were there by this time since I sent them sometime in may. I was verified sometime in mid-late June. My LORs were received on 7/2, and I received the application status info from Wake on 7/10, could not log in for the longest. I then received the secondary the next day. Got the all materials have been received email on 7/24 and I was complete sometime later that month or early in August. I got the typical hold message "Interviews are from---not all interviewable candidates can be invited---" I did not here anything for a while so I called. They told me that I had beereviewed, but I was not in the interview pool they were pulling from at the time. They told me to call back sometime during the first week of September and they probablly would be able to offer me an interview. So of course I knew they were giving themselves time, so I called back on 8/18 and they offered me a number of interview dates. I interviewed on 9/16 and I was told we would be reviewed on 9/22. Checked my status and saw I was accepted on 9/29.
Moral of the story. I thought I wouldn't get an interview because everybody else was getting interviews and I wasn't,so I telephone stalked them to try and figure them out. Then they offered me an interview, which I only thought they did because I stalked them. I felt good about the interview, but felt like I may have screwed myself over on some parts, and I got accepted in the first batch. So Wake's status is what they mean. If they say you might get an interview, chances are just that, you might, not you won't. And to all those waitlisted remember they only interview 500 to 600 people and not all the people they accept will actually end up going there, so you still have a good chance.
