Around when did the last group of people to get acceptances/rejections interview? They told us 8-11 weeks at my interview which just seems sooo long and I was wondering if they actually take that long. I interviewed 12/22 so I won't be hearing anything for a while, but I loved this school so I'm anxiously waiting for a decision!

I think the latest interview group that was accepted (as far as what was posted here) was around November 5. I interviewed the week after that and have still not heard. So yeah, you might be in for a bit of a wait.
Accepted from CAP!!

Same here! still waiting on CAP movement. Although, I have a bunch of friends who are first years at gtown, and nearly all of them got in off the waitlist...reallly late, like May. So I'm not holding my breath.
So does anyone know how many people are actually on the CAP?

I don't actually know anyone at GU who didn't get accepted before May.
thanks guys, that's reassuring to know that waitlist movement continues well into late spring and just because we weren't selected to come off the cap this time, all hope is not lost🙂

Keep that positive groove rollin, maybe Dr. Lauerman will somehow sense it and show mercy !

Congrats everyone! Second look is March 12th - anyone else going?

probably will be. I might try to go in Feb to hang with a friend who lives in DC. Perhaps I will do both?
how did u find out 2nd look is in march?
Here is a list of important dates linked off of the MD Accepts page. There's not too much there right now but it's good to know they have a date picked out for the re-visit!
Ay, how did you find out? Call, e-mail, snail mail, or smoke signals?

Does anyone remember the statistics Mrs. Sullivan gave regarding getting off the waitlist? I seem to remember that last year, the vast majority of people on the waitlist who wrote "the letter" got in... just wondering if anyone remembers the numbers.
thanks

I heard slightly different numbers but somewhere between 70-85%. I think about 150 people are eventually accepted off the CAP. Write a good letter and good luck!!!

Ok, that's encouraging. Thanks!

+1. I think your chances of getting in is really high once you send in a letter.
For those who interviewed, did you sense the students there were happy or indifferent? I thought Georgetown students were the least happiest among all the schools I've interviewed at. Of course, it may be because it was on a rainy day.

Yeah, my host when interviewed there said that being on the CAP is basically an acceptance if you want it to be. So thats encouraging! 🙂

I will definitely be there!

I didn't get this feeling at all, I stayed with a host the night before and met a lot of students and it really seemed like they all loved it, especially the students who gave us our tour, they just couldn't praise it enough. 🙂
I can not wait to hear from here, its killing me, why do they take so long?!

Same. I thought my student host and his friends were awesome. I had a great time at Wisconsin St. with them. Worse comes to worst, I'll be the damn life of the party at gtown!! DC is sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hey, would those of you who just heard back recently mind listing when you interviewed? I interviewed November 16th and am dyinggg over here!!
thanks! 🙂
I interviewed in November. Don't worry if you haven't been accepted yet, as they are rolling. I've talked to other people I interviewed with, and they haven't heard yet either. I was just lucky, I guess.

Interviewed the week before you, heard back yesterday. You probably will hear in the next couple weeks, but they seem to be pretty sporadic and unpredictable...

While I never sensed any feelings of despair, it was a pretty interesting tour that I had with some of the students. The thing that stood out for me was when I asked about the REALLY high cost of attendance and what the chances of getting any type of financial aid from the school was for people of less fortunate means.
The student's response: "every medical school will put you far into debt. There really is no financial aid at any school, except for MAYBE Mayo."
I found this ironic because a)this is complete BS and b)I ended up getting into Mayo.
I liked the school, but not enough to pay the price tag. Maybe they'll come through with the aid package though? 🙄
