Could be automated. Congrats, though.
I was probably complete in late August, and no, I didn't send any LOI or update.
My interview invite is for a Wednesday, does anyone know if Jefferson only interviews on Wednesdays or if they use other days of the week as well?

BTW it used to be 4 "yes"s on the status page (if i'm not going crazy) and now just 3. i think LOR - YES is missing now. IDK just
panicking....
Anybody else going to be interviewing Jan 6th?
I'd be interested in splitting a hotel room if so.
PM me
Hmm- haven't heard anything since being complete in early August. I tried calling the admissions office to inquire about their timeline and how they'd like to receive transcript and other applicant updates, and one of the automated voice options said to press a different number to "request an interview" (a separate option from the number to reschedule one's interview). Has anyone encountered this before/knows whether it's intended for people who have been offered an invite already? Sorry if this is a silly question- haven't been following this thread religiously and I haven't yet come across any pertinent info to this from digging back in the thread.
Hey guys,
is it unprofessional to send my interviewers an email wishing them a happy new year and best wishes for their ambitions and goals? I am asking this because this would allow me to remind them about myself so that they can recall me easily in the meeting while the admissions committee continue to make a decision about me ....
do they send out complete e-mails? I never got one.
They don't send one.
Is the post-interview wrap-up from 3-4 optional? I've got a flight to catch...
They sent one in reply to me after I sent my update letter.
It was weird. They wrote "Thanks for the update it will be added to your file blah blah blah" but there was also 2 word documents attached to their reply. One acknowledging my update letter and another stating my application was complete.
I sent an update letter recently and got an email reply with no written response but an attached word doc that detailed the interview process (but was not an invite). So weird.
Did anyone interview in December? Aren't we supposed to hear back today?Same thing.
A wait list decision would not be characterized as "good news." Sounds like you're in. Congrats!Did anyone interview in December? Aren't we supposed to hear back today?
Update: I got a message from Dr. Callahan but it didn't say if I was accepted just "good news"...thoughts? Could waitlist also be thought of as good news?
Hopefully! It would be kind of awkward if she called about a waitlist, but I never know... the only other school that called left a more definite message (i.e. you are accepted)

I also got the "good news" message. She also said to look out for the "good news" next week so I guess we'll just have to wait. 😀

When did you interview? I was in with the 12/16 people and still hoping for my call 🙂

So they are still interviewing people in February and March right?
I interviewed there on Jan 6 as well. Was great to meet a bunch of the interviewees. To all who had interviewed: be patient. From what I gathered today, things seem dependent on how devoted your interviewer was to showing up as well as how "the group" seemed to do. I believe that we were told yesterday that some of us could hear next week. There must be some sort of general ranking system as they said there wasn't too too much of an advantage interviewing between weeks. Some weeks strong, some weeks weak and the numbers accepted from those weeks will reflect that. Being on-hold isn't the end of the world as a bad week of applicants may help you out.
As Clara said today for those that interviewed, they like to see that you are interested in Jeff, so send updates but don't send everyday. Its a positive for Jeff.
😉 to c17 and Rach. Allons-y le vrai nord fort et libre!
I tried doing an "in the area" email and I got a form response saying
Thank you for your interest in Jefferson Medical College. Once an application is complete it is reviewed by the Committee on Admissions to determine if an interview will be granted. Interviews are conducted on Wednesdays from mid September through early April. If you are granted an interview you will be notified by e-mail three-five weeks in advance of the interview date if you cannot come on the date invited we will attempt to schedule on a date that will work for you.
Is it better to send a letter of intent or an update letter?
I would suggest just sending a letter indicating that you are still interested and want to be considered, if you were placed on hold (from what it sounded like). When they dip into the hold pool, they said they like to see people who show they are still interested in getting a spot.
