It seems like it might be luck of the draw. The woman at my interview said that they have meetings every tuesday, I think, but sometimes they won't discuss you if your interviewer wasn't present.

Anyone know how late into the year interviews are given? Tried looking on their website, but it doesn't say.
 
I believe it's usually up to and including the first week of March, give or take a week.
 
For anyone accepted, what kind of marks do you think are acceptable for classes still in progress? Other schools specify (i.e. you need to maintain at least C's to matriculate). Sinai doesn't really say. Obviously I'm trying to do as well as possible, but I'm thinking about budgeting my time with exams and essays coming up. What do you guys think?
 
It seems like schools are rather understanding of the fact that many of us have been on many interviews and the missed class time could result in lower grades. I can't imagine they can rescind you acceptance if you get a B average this semester (or at least that it what I am telling myself)? I'd like to hear other people's opinions, though.

Yeah, I just called to check my status, and they told me that I'm still under review and that they interview until March.

So I guess I still have a chance, but I'm not holding my breath (under review since sometime in early August).

I've got my money on TODAY. The last round of news was several Wednesdays ago, and people posted their decisions in the late afternoon. I know the admissions committee meets on Tuesdays (but I think not every Tuesday), and no one seemed to know anything from the last two Tuesdays, so I think they are due for a meeting. I don't have this on any authority whatsoever, but I personally would love to hear some news today and think there's a good chance of that happening. Fingers crossed!

They said 2nd week of December when I interviewed at the beginning of November. So... I dunno, I doubt they'd finish 'em earlier than planned.

Waitlisted. Does anyone have an estimate of how many people Mount Sinai took off the waitlist last year and how fast the list moves?

I was complete in mid July, but have heard nothing since then...anyone in the same boat, or at least know what is going on. I would just like to know if this should be considered a silent rejection or simple a "hold" pile for later review. Has anyone been rejected pre-interview from mt. sinai?
 
Accepted!....real happy to have a spot in NYC next year.

Ive been complete since late August and when I called she said that i was still under review.. nothing about a hold.. hope that helped

I'm in the same boat. I don't think anyone's been rejected yet, so I'm not optimistic about my chances.

I interviewed on 11/12 and I heard back today...however, I was told that both of your interviewers have to be present at your committee meeting...maybe one of yours couldn't make it so they haven't decided yet? Also, people heard both good and bad news today...I wouldn't lose hope yet.
 
Waitlisted. Love this school, but I'll be happy with Tufts too 🙂 Congrats to all the acceptees!

Hey guys. Several people have expressed concern about not being invited for interviews even though they've been complete for a while. I just wanted to let you know my story. I was complete in September and did not hear anything from Sinai until February. I interviewed in late Feb, and both myself and another student who interviewed the same day as me were accepted. So, in short, please don't stress about it! I don't know why Sinai makes some people wait like this, but please don't think it at all means that Sinai's not interested. OK, back to studying anatomy now. Good luck! And feel free to PM me if you have a question.

Just to be clear, we don't have to do anything until the packet comes in the mail? The email had links but nothing about actual deposits... right?

I was complete here since early sept and I was just granted an interview, finally! New Yorker.. also present employee
 
um so, i sent in all my stuff to all my schools by early august, but i havent received a complete email, do they give one? i havent been on the ball for this school but everyone seems to lvoe it so... haha
