Anyone who has finished their "step 1" financial aid forms...have you gotten back anything (email, snail mail) about step 2?

MB... I called yesterday to make sure they received my stuff and Sozzo said that if you don't hear from them then they have all your stuff. and then just wait to hear about step 2

Even for later interviews (March/April/May), is the school required to let us know what our statuses are prior to May 15th? (I would assume if we didn't find out prior to May 15th, it's at most a waitlist-position if not a rejection)

I know on my interview day (late March) they told us that we would hear before May 15th, are they telling this to you guys who just interviewed in April? I know they said that as they wound down the interview season they sped up the process but who knows ...

I'm a current student at NYMC, and I interviewed last year on May 4th. What they told us during the interview day was that they were very aware of the May 15th deadline, but it was really impossible to make all the decisions by then. So they said they would try to let us know within about 4 weeks.

So they definitely DO try to speed things up. I know a few people in my class with May interviews who got accepted in 10-14 days. I was accepted May 18th, so I wouldn't say it's definitely a waitlist if you don't hear by May 15th.

I wonder up to what interview date they made decisions on. Before Drbound it was 3/4 so maybe they made decisions up to 3/11 or 3/18.

I sent my deposit to the admissions office and I did not send a thank you note after I was accepted but it wouldn't hurt to do so

I sent a thank you email immediately after my interview to the general mailbox ([email protected]) but addressed it to Robin Baum (director of admissions). I also sent an update a couple weeks ago regarding an additional letter of recommendation that was submitted (again, to the general mailbox but addressed to Ms. Baum) and used it as an opportunity to reiterate my interest in the school. I didn't get a response either time, however.

I interviewed 3/9 and I got an acceptance today. I'm sure these things just come in waves and they didn't deal with EVERYONE who interviewed in March all in one go and it depends on your interviewer etc etc..so there is always hope!!! Good luck!!!!

By the way, does anyone who got the packet in the mail already know how long you have to send in the forms? I'm abroad now and I'm worried I will be late!!

since all the march people are getting worried.. i guess i should be SERIOUSLY worried since I interviewed on 2/9 and haven't heard anything. i just would like to know SOMETHING... i am approaching 12 weeks soon.

has anyone tried to contact the Adcom to see what is going on? when is everyone supposed to know their status by? and also is 12 weeks of waiting normal?

NYMC in the pre-allo forum. Their match lists/board scores are pretty similar. Go where you feel most comfortable!

Hi, I interviewed with Dr. Wang as well on Mar. 16th. No decision yet.

Also, I called the admissions office today to check on my status, and all they lady said was "10-12 weeks from the date of your interview." It sounded like she was annoyed that I asked.
