haha, i called today too (since their last interview day was yesterday, the waitlist should be pretty much set by today right?) luckily, i didn't get bumped down ::whew::

I was under the impression that you couldn't get bumped down. It seems kind of cruel to tell you where you are on the waitlist if that's the case.

why wouldn't it be possible? i was under the impression that you get scored after your interview and get placed on the waitlist based on the score -- so if enough people get a score higher than you, you could theoretically get bumped down, no?

even if you dont get bumped down that way, it seems entirely possible that the if the size of the list changes, your position could too.

also, i thought that's why they tell us to wait til later to call to see where we are on the list... because if they're still doing interviews, then the waitlist can still move.

agreed. because i heard mr. rosso tell us to check our position after the last interview session because you can shift up or down

Yeah definitely - no news is bad news and the fact that it seems like there are only a handful of worried waitlisters makes the wait that much worse!

i've been looking at last year's thread. it seems as if the pace this year is similar to last years. I mean, you can never really tell because the people posting on SDN isn't fully representative of the whole waitlist, but its always good to have some hope that it follows last years trend.

There has been a ton of movement so far and I do remember a lot more movement happening in the weeks after the 15th.

There may be more coming, I just got the news in an email from Mr. Rosso (who stands out more than any other staff at any school I interviewed at for being awesome), because I asked him a question about places I might want to look around at where many students live. I was planning on visiting this week to help decide between AMC and Buffalo. But anyway, since it wasn't an official letter or anything, more decisions might be going out since I haven't gotten the official one yet

strange.. no idea.

I got the answering machine a couple of times when I called about two weeks ago. But I realized I was calling during lunch time haha. I tried again after 2pm, and they were around. I have no idea why no one would answer throughout the day..

You're going to have to leave a message and Mr. Rosso will get back to you. If you don't, you won't really be able to get a response (probably even through email just because there might be an influx of them at this time).

I had some issues a couple of weeks ago with the tuition deposit and called the admissions office but never got through until I left a message. Mr. Rosso called me back within 2 minutes of leaving the message.

Nothing new really, they can only tell you so much regarding WL activity. What they told me is that they are still in the top 1/3 of list and can't tell us how far in that third they have gotten. They are continuously extending offers and that we can expect some more movement around the 15th. Also speculated that they will/might dip into middle 1/3 at some point. Sorry for repeating what some of us already knew.
