It seems as though the WL is moving at least as well as last year--maybe even better. But it may be an artifact in that we have some very dedicated people in this thread whereas I do not believe there was in previous years.
EDIT: I'm an idiot. I take back part of what I said. Last year's thread was actually better (in terms of participation) than this year's thread. It's hard to tell if it's moving any faster because they had a lot more people on it and a lot more acceptances. They moved to the middle tier waitlist on 5/19 and the lower tier sometime in July.
EDIT 2: And I just noticed how the WL from last year at this time looks VERY similar to this year.

On 5/13 they had less people under accepted and two less people on high tier. I think we can expect at least a few more people to tell us they've been accepted by 5/15, so I wouldn't be surprised if they switch to middle tier by the end of the month. But this is all speculation so don't read too much into it.
