I interviewed mid November as well. Does that mean that I'm not going to get accepted early and will have to wait until March?
Hey I have an interview tomorrow and am also from Springfield! I'm so nervous but definitely excited at the same time. haha
I guess I have to leave earlier than I had planned to meet with the diversity office.

People that found out thay were accepted, did you guys find out by email?
Yes. There was no follow-up letter in the mail, just a lot of attachments to the acceptance email.
odd. i got a huge envelope in the mail after i got the email. it was probably a week or so later.
Indeed, good luck to all!Good luck on the interviews guys!!

i never thought they'd show love but i am super excited to share that i was invited to interview today!! interview date 2/2/10! i can't wait!
God luck, anna01106! I was super excited when I got my invite, too. 😀 Really cool opportunity. I wish you all the best.
Has anyone heard anything from UMass lately? I interviewed there in mid-November and was hoping to hear from them soon.
Is anyone else who interviewed relatively early (9/29 for me) tired of waiting? Presumably, we hear in about four months, no? Which means I will have been waiting a total of 7. Booooooo.

Hi Guys!
I am totally new to posting and using SDN although i google it all the time, but I joined because I have an upcoming interview on the 12th and wanted to know if anyone else was interviewing that day. I'm a little nervous but super excited at the same time ... UMASS is my number one choice!
Best of luck to all that have interviewed and are waiting for results!![]()
I figured it's about time to make my first post...
Just heard from UMass today via email! Accepted! I interviewed on 12/9.
Good luck to everyone else!

UMASS is being way to stingy with their acceptances.
Congrats! What are the odds that you attend?
Does anyone know if UMass provides merit aid? If so, when would we hear about this?

+1
When does their interview season end?
April blah, apparenly they tell most people in april/may
they warned us of this when we interviewed. something about state funding... they can't over-accept like most other schools do.
I remember that, but I do wish they were a bit more transparent about the overall process. I would love to know where exactly I stand with the adcom.
My best guess is that once the 125 cap is filled on the rolling basis (by March 15th) the rest of us are waitlisted. This site http://www.eduers.com/Medical/Massachusetts/University_of_Massachusetts_Medical_School.html claims that when there were 100 spots in 2007, UMass accepted 177 people. If you scale that up for 125 spots, about 220 people will be accepted in total.
My hope is that some of those acceptances pre-March 15th are from early interviews that are reviewed again. I would really like to avoid the waitlist if possible. On that matter, does anyone know what the movement off of the waitlist is traditionally like?
SaturnGirl, could you perhaps shed some light for us?
In the meantime, happy waiting everyone! 🙂
May 15th?
The way I understand it, the AAMC requires all schools to offer as many acceptances as they have spots in the incoming class by March 15th.
May 15th is the date that applicants can no longer hold on to more that one acceptance.

Oooooh, is this true? If so, that answers TWO questions for me. Where did you read this?
By the way, FrenchFries PMed me and he(or she!) has Superstar stats so I am not expecting to hear anything soon!![]()
Thanks folks!
Odds of attending? I'm definitely going to seriously consider it. UMass is one of my top choices.
As far as I remember, UMass does not give out institutional merit aid. I believe their aid is all need based.
