Interviewed 1/13. Got the Still Under Consideration Email today at 3pm.😕

uh oh...

Wonder why I didn't get a e-mail. Rejections are e-mail right?

there's:

still under consideration,

rejection via e-mail,

acceptance via phone,

and is that it? Is there like a waitlist or something?

I guess I'm not still under consideration... 🙁

Here is my timeline of events if it helps anyone:

Received Secondary: 7-13
Received Interview Invitation: 9-30
Interviewed: 10-21
Received acceptance: 10/28 via status page and email (I was told that email is the official way to receive acceptances although some interviewers might decide to call applicants with the good news)

Hope this helps...

are rejections this fast too?

I'm not sure how long rejections take...

under consideration email today too, anyone considering sending them an update letter, I haven't really been up to anything all that interesting so not really sure what I would write.

I interviewed at the same time as some of you and I have received 0 e-mails about anything.

Place your bets anyone?

:scared:

My guess is that our round of interviews wasn't considered yesterday if there was an EXCOM meeting. I still haven't heard anything yet, either...
Keep on hopin' :luck:

I also did not recieve the email. Not sure if this is good, bad, or just random....

TeenMachinery:
have you been getting the 'still under consideration' email up until now? I've been getting them for the past 2 months-ish, but then I didn't get it this time.....

i just recently interviewed. I haven't received any e-mail or anything for about 2 weeks.

when did you interview? I interviewed the week of 1/12.

I interviewed the week following you. Probably a bit soon to hear anything...plus those in the "under consideration" pool usually get that email weekly (maybe it's auto-generated?) even up until final EXCOM meetings later in the spring. Try not to look too far into getting emails or not...can be tough to try to decipher. My two cents...

yeah, but someone interviewed on 1/13 and got a still under consideration e-mail.

maybe my excom interviewer guy wasn't there.

Hmmm...not sure what to make of that. Maybe there is no rhyme or reason to what files the EXCOM committee reviews at each meeting. Only time will tell...until then keep hope alive...

Wow, all is quiet in UWSOM-land. Not sure if this is a good, bad, or neutral thing...anyone? Any news?😴

That's sort of what I was thinking too. I assumed that all the silence indicated that not much has happened EXCOM meeting wise. This time next week could either be a lot of celebrating or....otherwise.

how much action has there been from the competitive pool in the past couple weeks? acceptance/rejections?

I guess no news right now is good news right? 😳

Nada here. Still in limbo (aka the competitive pool). Interviews are taking place in other states for the next two week, according to the interview calendar. Maybe that means no excom meetings anytime soon...?

I hope this is not the case. I can barely take it anymore!

Here's to hearing some news this week guys. :luck:

I noticed in an above post someone mentioned that they found out they were accepted off of the status page before they ever received an email confirming. Can someone direct me to the location of that page? I'm sure it is in some email that they sent me, but wondering if someone can post the link or tell me where to find it? Thanks in advance.

so did everyone in the "competitive pool" get a financial aid email?? I got one about applying for aid, but I'm not sure if it was a mass email or not...

Yes, the email went to everyone who has not yet been rejected.

I'm in the same boat as you teenmachinery. Floating along the seas of silence...😕

i wouldn't sweat it. i doubt they do more than 1 or 2 meetings a month.

yeah, I was told that they only have meetings every couple of weeks. And my "source" lol, told me that once they start the wwami interviews they don't have many meetings for the wa students. I also talked to people who went through this last year, and they said usually people in the "pool" have to wait until like the end of march to hear anything new, sadly!

I don't know, I interviewed 02/04 and my interviewer told me it shouldn't take very long to hear back (few weeks max) as they have more excom meetings towards the end of the cycle. (I'm WA)

Interviewed on 2/3 for MT TRUST
Accepted last night (2/6) via phone call!!

Congrats! That was a fast turnaround from UW...

I was supposed to interview on 2/2 but got sick and couldn't make the interview. Sounds like I'll be rescheduled for second round of MT interviews in March, but it makes me happy to hear they will respond quickly after the interview.

Yeah, I was told that rejections and acceptances are fast (like two daysish) but waitlist or whatever else can take weeks.

I imagined I would've gotten an e-mail saying so however.

Perhaps the people from the states in WWAMI, excluding Washington, hear news of their acceptances (or not) quicker since there are fewer applicants to sort through, compared to lots of applicants from WA. Who knows? Just trying to be optimistic...👍

Any WA residents hear anything new lately (aside from "still under consideration" emails)? 😕

Excom meeting for WWAMI states occur on the Friday of the week; "usually" about 1/2 of that state's allotment of seats is accepted after the first week of interviews. If you interview in the 1st week and don't get an acceptance phone call from your Excom interview member over the weekend or the following Monday, you are likely "under consideration" and won't hear until after the 2nd week's set of interviews. If you're rejected or "not ready yet", you will hear quickly (usually the week following your interview).

Yay!! I'm not "not ready yet" or rejected. (edit: hopefully I'm not anyways)

That's something at least.

👍

Hopefully I get the e-mail saying that I'm still under consideration.

Is Washington included in this? Anybody know if they also have meetings regularly on Fridays?

Amen to that. What a fun process this is...
benthere: when you say "WWAMI" are you also referring to WA? Trying to figure this out is hurting my poor brain...🙂

I don't think the WA meetings are that regular. I'm pretty sure that's just for WWAMI states because there are less people and they are interviewed pretty much at the same time.

As for the post above me, when someone says WWAMI they are usually talking about the other states besides washington. Like wyoming, alaska, montana, and idaho.

Also, I am in the "competitive pool" and I didn't get my under consideration email until about a week after the excom meeting took place. So for WA people don't get too worried yet if you haven't heard anything yet...

Looking at a schedule that was "left laying around," the next Excom mtg isn't until Feb 16. Final Excom mtgs are March 23-25.

WA resident, interviewed 1/19, just got the rejection email today so i guess they are meeting for in-state now, but best of luck to the rest of you!
