Last round people from 10/6 got the call, so adding two weeks to that, maybe dates up until 10/20?
I think .. up to third week of october.. We'll see.. It's going to be this Tuesday.

flat out rejection 11/25
Good news may come tomorrow!!!!!! (or on Tuesday)
Yeah, I too doubt they met during the holiday break. I feel like they told us on our day (also middle of October) that it'd be a 4-6 week wait. Next week seems to be the most reasonable guess. When my group interviewed (middle-ish of Oct) they told us 8-10 weeks and it hasn't been that long yet. I'm guessing they didn't meet last week due to Thanksgiving. Maybe next week?
I apologize if the answer to this question is buried in this thread somewhere, but would someone mind telling me how the interview lunch works at Vanderbilt? I am interviewing there next week and I'm a vegetarian, but the correspondence I've received from them didn't give any specific instructions about notifying the admissions office of dietary restrictions. Some schools let you pick your own food from a huge buffet (like UVa, yum) -- others give you a lunch with meat in it unless you specifically request otherwise. Anyone know? I don't want to spam them with my eating habits unless it's necessary. Thanks!
I interviewed awhile ago but I do remember they brought a bunch of sandwiches for us to choose from. I believe there was a veggie option, but I'm sure if you called the office and told them, they'd be sure to have one for you.

Thanks for the lunch advice, everyone! It sounds like there will be some veggie options there, so I probably won't call or email them. I am not afraid to throw an elbow as I lunge for the Mediterranean wraps.
Yeah, during lunch they place a box full of Panera sandwiches and cookies in the middle of a table and let everyone grab what they want. You'll have to move pretty quickly if you want a cookie!
You are so funny! hahahahaha yeah but it's true!!! move quick or else you'll end up with a sugar cookie instead of a chocolate chip cookie
i didn't move fast enough and i didn't even get a cookie 🙁
I didn't even know they had cookies, I just went for the Sun Chips.
just signed up for an interview on January 18th! Anyone else interviewing that day?
this. Sun Chips are vital.
I interviewed with a crowd of delicate Yale, Princeton, Stanford, and Harvard people who took all the bottled water. me and the other guys from the no-name colleges all got the cokes. I think that was the most awkward crowd of people I've interviewed with yet...over half the people were from top-notch undergrads and it was in August so everybody was really nervous and was trying to impress everyone else.
If they were so delicate, why weren't you able to beat them out for the water? 😀
Did anyone get a call from Vandy today?
If not, then I guess it's gonna be on Tuesday or next Sunday..
Can't wait to hear back from them..
has anyone who was initially WL'd gotten an acceptance yet? I think last year WL movement started in Nov/Dec...
I did some creeping on the 2008-2009 Vanderbilt thread and found that someone got accepted off the waitlist in late November. So theoretically, we're in waitlist movement zone. We need to bear in mind that once the interview season is done and there is an official waitlist, very few people get off. So hopefully some of us will get some good news soon![]()
hope you get off the waitlist man, you seem to have good reasons for wanting to attend Vandy. and when you do get in...feel free to withdraw from Pitt for me...
thanks! I would definitely withdraw from Pitt if I got in here. but, I'm only on the Pitt waitlist, so don't know how much that would help you...I guess one less to compete with is good![]()
hey rockaction - whod you send your loi/update to?
If the waitlist should be moving soon, then does that mean that interview invites are done? Because I have yet to hear anything...
also, has anyone heard anything about scholarships yet? they started giving out merit aid around this time last year...
I'd hope if anyone heard, they'd post here. But yeah it was right around this time last year. If Vandy gives me money, I'll almost definitely go there over anywhere else. 😍 Vandy!
Also,to the WLers. I hope some of y'all hear soon.
