I've heard they do screen out super achievers because the school knows they are wasting time on someone whose not going to go even if they go it. I'm pretty sure GW and Gerogetown does it too, there are just too many applicants.

I was, but I've been working on them. I had about 5 at once to work on and when I submitted one I would receive new one. 😳

Now I'm down to 3. I'm hoping I can get those done tonight. This probably won't happen though. 🙄

FWIW, I was verified pre-6/24 and my last name is at the end of the alphabet
and I only got screened in yesterday....

Hey guys,

From what I know is that Wake Forest sends secondaries in timely batches, so don't feel worried if you haven't received it but others have..it does not reflect anything about your chances. Wish everyone the best!

I got screened in today. Was AMCAS verified on 7/1, and LORs just went through on 7/7. (I guess Wake doesn't wait on the LORs to screen?) Last name at the very end of the alphabet.

It's more money for them and it's not like they have a limited amount (like they do for interviews). And how can they assume I wouldn't be interested. I actually really really like Wake.

I have not the slightest clue. I'm not gonna base my decision on rank. I'm gonna go where I'll be happiest. I've heard amazing things about all the schools I applied to (excepting my state schools), and I really don't think I'd be able to make a decision without going to see the school and such.

I completely agree. I think the idea of screening out over qualified candidates is stupid. How can they know without meeting you that you don't just happen to be in love with their school, and they could have you at their school. It just seems crazy.

I agree with many of you, Wake does not pass up well qualified students (which I mean great GPA, MCAT, essays, activities)...that's ridiculous to consider otherwise. The students truly seem extremely happy there, that's all that matters in the end.

They responsed to me. First you must call them and acknowledge how just totally awesome BlueElmo is. AND you have to also send a snail matter with the said statement.


Jokes aside, stop worrying too much. It's probably only a matter of time. Give them some time to sort things out.

I wouldn't add the "loser" part on there, but I don't think that is a good sign. I'm sorry to see that, but there are pleanty of other schools out there anyways.

I got that same status about an email notification so... looks like no Wake Forest for me, however I am really happy that I got screened-in at VCU today it makes me feel slightly better

Yeah, they should call all the rejections. haha! That'd be terrible. Think about it, you'd be all excited that they're going to give you an invite, then you'd just be like, "oh, I'm going to hang up now."

Are you talking about WF? My friend told me it was roughly 1/3 last year.
