Will check it out. Thanks!!
Just got the "further" status from VCU... not sure exactly what it means but just glad its not a rejections... Hope to hear something soon as I will be in the area next month
haha nice doc. when were you complete? basically it just means you have a chance of being interviewed. it's like being pooled. it's not good and it's not bad.
lol are you following me? 😀
I was complete on 9/5 (then I got a second complete status for some reason a a couple of days ago)
So, I have an interview here in two weeks and VCU is one of my top choices so i'm quite nervous about itAre there any specific questions I should prep for? Should I make sure I can answer the q's on the interview feedback or is that overkill? Also, any other tips/advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!
Yeah the admissions office doesn't validate but if you ask someone in the Gateway building (which is the main entrance which you have to walk through to get from the garage to Sanger) they'll validate anyone not in scrubs/wearing a school ID.
it worked, thanks! ended up only paying $2 for parking
Sure thing! Hope your interview went well!
Complete yesterday. Rejection today. OUCH
hi all!
i interviewed at vcu on 10/11 and just received the following status update:
"The Admissions Committee has met to discuss your file. Your application is being placed on hold for action at a later date. We anticipate making offers October 16, December 15, February 1, and March 16.
You will receive no further communication from us concerning your hold status. The next status change will be to offer you a position in the class, to notify you that you have been placed on the alternate list in late-March, or to notify you that the Committee will no longer be considering your file.
We thank you for your interest in our school. "
my question is, does this mean my file has been presented to the adcom meeting for the 10/16 acceptance date, but they have not come up with a final decision and my file is now postpone to the next available date 12/15?
someone please clarify...i am confused..

Got the further status august 14th and still not invited.
The common theme seems to be interview invites coming out on the first of every month right?
Got offered an interview on Saturday - scheduled for 11/11 (hopefully it'll be good luck)! I think I've been complete since 7/30.
For anyone waiting for a response and looking for stats:
OOS, 3.4, 30
Anyone complete 9/01/10 and still haven't even gotten a status update? This is really weird...
So i'm interviewing at VCU next week and was wondering about answering the "Why VCU" question. I interviewed here in the 2009 cycle and was thinking about mentioning that and how i got to see many of the great things I like about VCU on that day. Do you think that's a wise idea or should I just say why I chose VCU and leave out the fact that I interviewed here before? (I was waitlisted, but not accepted)

Does VCU's currently-implemented curriculum follow block scheduling, or is that going to be a part of the new curriculum? Also, does anyone know when the new curriculum is supposed to be set in motion?
Marissa25 - which status did you have prior to your interview invite?
Hi,when did you send your primary to VCU? I think that is the date they go by.
New to the thread.. just got this email from VCU (didn't find it on the thread search!)
"It was with a great deal of pleasure that we noted your recent application to our school. The initial file review screening by our subcommittee has identified you as a strong candidate.
We begin the interview process in early September. Once a committee member has completed the final review and you are offered an interview, please schedule the interview through the online directions...."
Does it mean anything or do they send this out to basically everyone who gets a secondary? Been complete since September - no news since them other than a complete email!
me too!i got the may status on 9/5 and it's been quiet since then. i was starting to lose hope but hopefully i'll hear something eventually
Has anyone had an experience with a post interview rejection? Can they be sent out at any time, or do we wait until December 15?
I got the message that says the Admissions Committee has discussed my file and there will be no more correspondence until Dec. 15. Good, bad or neutral news?
