I have no idea if VTC is done giving out interviews, but just for reference, I was notified by email 10/28 for the 11/20 interview date. We're still almost a month out and there are probably more people turning down the March interview than the November one. Roanoke can be a ridiculously expensive airport to fly into which may turn off applicants who have other offers.
Don't give up hope yet!
On a side note, many people have posted that you can't really prepare for the MMI interview format and I completely disagree. Think of ethical situations you may face as a doctor or in life, how you would act in those situations, and what criteria would cause you to make one decision over another.
For example the right to own a gun (which was not part of my MMI interview, just an example of ethics given current events). One extreme opinion would be that everyone (including children) should carry a gun. The other extreme is that no one (not even police) should carry a gun. Most likely, your beliefs fall somewhere in the middle. Why? What information would you want to know to determine if someone has the right to carry a gun.
I thought of common ethical topics and practiced speaking out loud about these topics and what I would do in the middle of the situation. Not one of the topics I thought of ahead of time ended up in my interview, but I still think it helped me quickly compose my thoughts and deliver them in a logical manner. Good Luck!
