Still can't log on. Maybe it's the silent rejection.

I doubt it.... I think everybody is having this problem. Wake is pretty good about letting you know when your application isn't in consideration anymore. The system probably went down over the weekend or something...

they will let you know at the interview when they will release the decisions. if you are interviewing the week after thanksgiving i doubt that they will release them before the new year but you never know. Hope they do for you and other interviewees though!

Has anyone heard a decision from WFU in the past month or so? I know that they meet this Wednesday to make decisions on recent interviewees. This is such a phenomenal school and the wait is killing me.

Any new interview invites for Wake? According to last year's thread, they send out a batch right after the new year. I wonder if anything will come before then.

Complete 8/27 with the same ambigious status many of you have/had:

"Your application will be reviewed throughout the year and if granted an interview, we will send you an invitation by email. Interview is by invitation from September through March. If you have not heard by April, you will receive notification of your status at that time."

Just called the admissions office and was told something a little different re whether this status means you've been placed in an interview pool. I was told this just means that my application has been reviewed, I could be invited for an interview and I could not. I will only be contact if I'm invited, so no obvious rejections... I guess until April. Considering I've been complete since 8/27 and most people have gotten their interviews in about a month, I'm thinking it doesn't look too good for me 🙁.

I really wish that schools had standard status terms which all meant the same thing so there wasn't so much confusion school to school and based on which person in the office you spoke to... Anyhow, best of luck to everyone else!

That's not the same status I have or have seen, its a slight variation. Mine is and has been:

"Your application is complete. Interviews are by invitation from September to March. If you are invited, you will receive a e-mail or phone call to schedule an interview."

Is there a difference here?

I called today. She said they couldn't offer me one now, but they interview all the way up to the second week of March. She also said they're always reviewing applications. My status said this 2 years ago when I applied (I didn't apply last year so I could strengthen my application). I was eventually offered an interview, so I don't think this is a bad status...

found out through email and status update...update first. I was riding high after finishing a final only to be brought back. I would have loved to be accepted here because it is my first choice hands down. Good luck to everyone! I will keep updating if anything changes on my front to help out others.

from talking with friends, i had no idea any got denied after the interview. I know that sounds completely naive but even at the interview they seemed to imply that you would either be accepted or waitlisted.

I know they accept/encourage letters of intent ... but I don't see anything against update letters. I turned one in a few days ago actually and it seemed fine.

Most likely if you send an update. I know someone did after sending a letter of intent....If that is your top choice, send a letter of intend

no doubt - I was waitlisted on Dec. 6 after a Nov. 1 interview, and sent in a letter of intent on Dec. 14 (I tried to get it in before the committee meeting, they're apparently every two weeks on Wednesday evenings). I think the letter helped, but who knows.

Hey Applicants.

I'm a 1st yr at Wake now and I must say I don't envy any of you. Take heart though in the fact that Wake does accept A LOT of their class off the WL. Wake definitely likes to hear from people expressing interest. I got waitlisted in March and got in the first week of June. Hopefully you people get in quicker but don't give up hope if you're waitlisted. Just keep in touch with them and send any relevant updates. Based on our class I would say Wake really looks to try and find people with not only the academic prowess but also the social skills to be a good doctors, so I would keep that in mind during interviews.

The interview was very conversational. Almost all the questions were related to something in my PS or secondary.

I was complete when my last LOR came in which was a little late, around late September I think. They are filling in holes from people who canceled so they gave me dates for next week, later in January, and then February. My interview is next Friday.
