Waitlisted today. Kind of a bummer, but I will keep up my hope. Interviewed in early November.

Yes, an email with an attached explanation of the waitlist policies.

I interviewed in mid-October and haven't heard anything--a bit unnerving. I also seem to remember someone on interview day saying that many weight listed are ultimately accepted, but I could be mistaken (I was very tired and anxious).

It is interesting people are being weight listed this early too. It seems contrary to what they explained to me... oh well...

Received an email about Waitlist. Interviewed in November.

Any idea if this list actually moves? Or is this pretty much a rejection?

Is there a ranking system given in the wait lists (any way that you know where you stand on it currently?)

I seem to remember someone saying on interview day not to worry too much about being weight listed (a fair amount get accepted), though I may have imagined it; I was very sleepy and anxious.

I interviewed in mid-October and haven't heard anything yet--a bit nerve wracking.

From my understanding (which could be incorrect) the waitlist is unranked. They actually go through the entire wait list whenever there's an opening and decide who to invite.

I have an interview early March. I submitted the secondary mid November. Am I interviewing for a waitlist spot?

Not necessarily. They're frugal with straight-out acceptances throughout the season so if they're interviewing you (even this late) there still is the possibility of an acceptance. It would be inefficient of them to go to the trouble of interviewing if there were no more acceptances available.

Good to know. Thanks. Are you at Dartmouth? I heard it's nice up there 😀

When I interviewed here, they explained they would analyze each interviewees file and score it with a numerical value. After which time they'd start at both ends of the spectrum, offering acceptances to the high end and rejections to the other. Have they finished with outright rejections and just started offering wait list spots and acceptance?

Don't know if anyone knows but figured there might be some people around with more knowledge about their admission procedures than me hahaha 🙂

Good luck to everyone!

Nope. Definitely more of all of those to come.

Gracias!!! Interviewed a million years ago so was just curious hahaha

This is what the informational attachment for waitlisted applicants had to say about movement-

"Historically we have experienced wide variation in Waiting List activity from year to year, but in general we plan to admit additional candidates. In some years the number is small; in others, close to two dozen."

Has anyone heard about acceptances from Dartmouth yet?

Complete since 10/5 and still nothing...

complete since 8/24 and in the same shoes you are.

Does Dartmouth send out pre-interview rejections or do they just wait till march to send them all out?

Has anyone received or know someone who has received a post interview rejection from Dartmouth?

oh wow... September and October interviewee's... I guess we are all in the same boat of feeling anxious and nervous! Has anyone contacted the office lately to get an update?

I interviewed in October too! Still waiting 🙄🙄

Wait listed today, really bummed. Interviewed 9/15

accepted today! interviewed on 1/5

Congrats, great news!!!!

I've realized that the anticipation of hearing back from schools is very very distracting toward my school work. At this point I wouldn't mind hearing any news, good or bad.

Accepted 2/3! Interviewed 1/19.

Email was brief though, with no attachments. Just some information about the second-look weekend. Anyone else with a similar email?

Same here. Email this morning after being complete 10/5. I was genuinely interested in Dartmouth, too bad. Good luck to everyone else who's in the running.

Rejected pre-interview today. Been complete since...a long time ago. I guess I'm happy I was good enough for them to string me along for this long. 😳

Definitely better than a rejection 🙂

When did you interview? If you don't mind me asking...

Just got the waitlist email too. =/ Is Dartmouth open to letters of intent/interest for people on the waitlist? I wonder how many people usually get onto the waitlist.
