Hey Guys, I just withdrew my acceptance today! OOS. It was one of the most difficult decisions. EVMS is a great place with a lot of good people. Hope one of you guys, esp IS get my spot. Best of luck on your endeavors! HANG IN THERE and IT WILL ALL BE REWARDING!
 
Just withdrew my acceptance, OOS male, it was tough but had to make a decision, good luck to all those waitlisted!

You are surely lucky! there is very little movement in IS list..

If you don't mind me asking, can you post your stats?

Also: are you leaning towards GW or EVMS?

Re-applicant, 3.89 undgergrad gpa, 4.0 grad gpa, 31R MCAT, IS female, age 22. I have no idea about GW vs. EVMS I never thought I'd be accepted to two schools so didn't really let myself compare them during the process....and honestly of all my interviews I really messed up EVMS's so thought there was no chance of an acceptance. I absolutely LOVE both programs, locations, students, faculty, and facilities and would be thrilled to attend either. I have no idea how I am going to make this decision. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated!
 
How are notifications being made? Email? Phone? Snail mail like the wait list letters?

I called yesterday and they confirmed that notification would be sent through snail mail just like the waitlist letters.
 
So if acceptances were received yesterday via snail mail, that means decisions were made the week before. I wonder how many will be made this week.
 
I received an e-mail. I was accepted to another school and since AMCAS notified EVMS....I was contacted if I was still interested in EVMS and wished to remain on the wait-list. I responded yes and shortly after that received an e-mail that I was offered a spot and would be getting an acceptance packet in the mail this week!

oh...hahahaha yeah I was so excited I didn't even notice. Accepted Friday, got the letter Sunday 😉

I did too. It said not to reply unless you wanted to withdraw your application so I didn't. I only emailed them my summer address so I don't have to wait for anything to be forwarded from my current address.

Same, i guess this goes out to everyone wait-listed. Trying not to read into it, but i hope that doesn't mean that there hasn't been any movement. Although, they said that some people are accepted into multiple schools, so maybe they can see that, and are giving people a chance to withdraw before they do it?

Yeah, trying not to read into it either. I asked how people were getting notified of acceptances and someone yesterday said they received an email about continued interest and got an acceptance shortly there after, but not sure if it was the same email so it could go either way.
 
They also said they responed "yes" to this email, and shortly after received the acceptance email, which brings up several questions....Was is the same email that specifically says not to reply unless you want to be withdrawn, could perhaps responding to this email with interst be an even greater indicator of interest to the commitee....jesus
 
Just officially withdrew from wait list ( F oos upper 1/3) good luck!

No, doesn't look like it was the same e-mail since mine didn't say anything about withdrawing and specifically asked me to respond. Hope this helps clear that up. Hang in there!

I am going up to visit the school next weekend! Can't wait 🙂
 
Friend called Admissions office. They said everyone on waitlist is given that email. Also, the next batch of acceptances have been decided so if you're curious, go ahead and call.
 
Just called...they made decisions today! Accepted! Instate female.
 
Withdrew on the 15th. IS 30 O and 3.96 sci, 3.95 overall. Was top 1/3rd WL. Got accepted to VCU 🙂

I also withdrew my acceptance today (accepted off of waitlist a few days ago). OOS, female. It was a tough decision because I liked the school, but I'm sure it will make another WLer happy! Good luck!
 
Just curious for those of you who were just accepted and have other options to weigh, how long do they give you to make a decision?
 
you have 2 weeks to turn in all the paperwork and make the deposit if that's what you're asking.
 
Hey everyone. Just thought I would pop in and say that I dropped my top 1/3rd waitlist spot today.

any instaters that interviewed late in the cycle (Feb-March) receive acceptances?
 
Accepted on the 18th (letter dated on the 17th)!

IS male, 31P, 3.6 cGPA, was on the top 1/3 of waitlist

Also just got accepted to VCU so I've got a real tough choice to make...leaning towards EVMS because I feel that it's the better fit but we'll see, gotta make the choice soon!

Are you sure about that? When I called the admissions office earlier they said that if someone drops out, they send out an acceptance that day.
 
Did anyone that recently got accepted off the waitlist send ADCOM a letter in the past few months?
 
I just withdrew my acceptance today (OOS male) -- hopefully one of you get my seat!

Yes, I sent a LOI in late April. I don't know if this had anything to do with it, but it seems to be the general consensus that this school responds well to student interest.

I sent in three LOI (one after my interview in November and a few scattered here and there). I've spoken with my interviewer via email etc, etc.

...And I'm still on the top third WL :bang:
