I think you just have to be patient. I had not heard anything from Miami since I was complete in early August and I got an interview invite about two weeks ago (11/8).

At that time, they had interviews essentially every Monday and Friday from 11/11 through 1/30 available (with the exception of holidays).

I interviewed this past Monday and I think they said they will interview ~500 people this cycle and ~300 will be offered acceptance to fill a class of ~200. The general class makeup is usually 70% IS and 30$ OOS.

That absolutely helps. On their website it says that they interview through the end of March, but you are the second person to post they only showed interview slots through January. Do you think they continue to interview that late, or did it seem like they were pretty much complete by the end of January?

When I was choosing interview dates, there were slots open through early April. This may just apply to MD/MPH candidates however. Hope this helps!
 
Anyone interviewing Dec 5/6 for the MD/MPH program that wants to carpool (I will pay gas!) or chip in for a rent-a-car to go to the Palm Beach County campus? I'm OOS so just trying to figure out the most reasonable way to get there from the Miami campus.

If anyone has advice how they did it, I would appreciate it!

I was able to rent a car with some applicants who I met through SDN. Renting is definitely your best option. If you inform the admin office of your desire to carpool, they will try to assist you by emailing the others of your interview date.

Dollar was relatively cheap and if you sign up for the Dollar Express Club (I believe that's the name), you won't have to wait in line. We weren't aware of this option and had to wait in line for over an hour. (FYI I'm in no way affiliated with Dollar or own any of their stocks 😛)
 
My file has been complete since 10/18.

I have not heard from UM since.
When should I be hearing from them?

I was complete almost 2 weeks earlier and I haven't heard anything either. Lady Rugger had about a 3 month turnaround, so we still got a week or two before that time.
 
Hello everyone! I was complete very early summer and just got an II today. So there is still hope for everyone! Good luck!
 
Hey guys, I got an interview invite yesterday and made my appointment very early today. They told me, I would get an email stating specifics but did not tell me when. I also did not receive a confirmation email. Does anyone who already interviewed know when we get these emails. I need to plan out my trip asap! Appreciate all help. Thanks!

Mine took less than 24 hours. You will probably hear from Agnes on Monday.
 
for those who interviewed for the MD/MPH program, how did you get from Miami to Palm Beach? Is the rail pretty reliable?

I've only been to Miami once and am trying to figure out transportation for next week, any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!!

There should be some other people in your group also going up there, my advice would be to become their friend interview day 🙂 I know someone from my group took the rail, but the rest of us carpooled up. Half of us went up monday night, the other half tues morning (depending on everyones sleeping arrangements). Talk to other applicants, see who else is applying MD/MPH and ask around. I know someone's student host just let them borrow his truck and drive a whole group of us up.
 
anyone else have trouble sleeping last night and almost jump out of their skin any time their phone makes a noise even though you know it wouldn't be miami until after 5?????

How do you know what date they will give you a decision by? They did not mention it at my interview day.. I interviewed 11/21 and have no idea when I should expect a decision!

I interviewed on 11/14 and the dean definitely said 12/7 was the meeting (or maybe the first possible meeting?) we'd be considered at. I'm assuming 11/14 is the last interview date for the adcom meeting today if you weren't told anything? Haha now I'm seriously second guessing myself...

I interviewed after 11/14 and they (Dean Weisman) told our group we'd all hear Dec 7th unless our person did not present us

...my interview day included a group that had MD/MPH students interviewing as well so I'm not sure if that was the reason

...I would assume you are being considered. If you hear nothing by tomorrow that means you are being considered for the next round. We were told waitlisted individuals would get emails (presumably in the morning) and accepts would get phone calls tonight
 
so i've already started fantasizing about my life in miami, really hoping i get that phone call😕

got the call!! In for MD/MPH, alternate list for MD.... still super excited. But i was leaning towards MD only....

but you would think if they'd be willing to have me for MD/MPH they'd be willing to have me for MD too.

WHOO! I got accepted, & it's my first acceptance! (& honestly, I think it's the school I'll end up at. Miami seems amazing.) So happy.

Just so you guys know, the day that I was accepted there were people who got an acceptance email the next day with no phone call so don't give up hope!!!
 
Hey, new to sdn..

oos ii 1/9-1/10.. I am looking to carpool to west palm campus with some people if possible.

I really don't know what my travel schedule is going to be like.. I guess I am going to fly in and stay in a hotel 1/8?
 
Interviewed 11/14. No call last night so feeling a bit :/ For those that were waitlisted/rejected the day after the calls, or accepted by email instead of a call, what time was your email? Limited access to email while at work...and I really want to hear something positive from here.
 
Did anyone who interviewed 11/21 receive a call?

I had the latest interview -- so I never had a "what happens next" chat with Dr. Weisman. I saw that some others had that at the end of their day... or was that just the MD/PhD people? Did anyone from 11/21 catch the date we should hear?
 
Oh good...I'm not sure that any of us from 11/21 got that "chat." I finished my interview at around 2 I guess, went back to the admissions office, and was told we were done for the day.

he definitely told us 12/7 but he did say we might not be considered this round but assured that MOST, if not all of us would be considered for 12/7

anybody even know when the next date is?
 
But you were 11/14, not 11/21, right, wonderbread?

Well, we did have a ton of people 11/21, and there were obviously still people from previous days to review, so I am cautiously optimistic that, yes, we got pushed.

When did you hear about 12/7? What part of the interview day?

oh no! did you get an email? i keep refreshing, but nothing for me yet...i guess they are rolling them out now though...oh well 🙁
