Does your status still have the waitlist message or has it changed back to "we'll contact you shortly" ? I am waiting on the WL as well btw.

I've been put in this small pool since August. Is there any hope? Silent rejection if I haven't heard back by now? 🙁

There is still hope. Check the secondary threads from previous years, II's are typically extended well into March of the application cycle.
 
I can't focus I just want to know!!! I loved UVM and I hope to get good news tomorrow!
 
I waited 3 months and 20 days for an interview from UVM and I ended up getting in last year 🙂
 
They were unable to a secure a student host for me =( , so for the people who stayed at hotels, which hotels did you stay at? Tips and feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

I stayed at Days Inn (the one in Colchester). It's about 10 min away from the UVM. It was $59.90/night

I see that the two people who didn't get a student host for 11/28 both requested no cats, so I wasn't able to host either of you. Sorry to hear that you weren't able to find a student host. Feel free to PM me if you would like to talk to a current student. I would be happy to meet up.

I think I submitted the form twice, so both those might have been just me lol. I don't suppose I can just man up, take some benadryl, and change my mind about cats =).

Haha I wouldn't recommend it since you don't want to have hives or be asleep at your interview. We really do try our best to host all of the students. It was probably also working against you that you requested the day after thanksgiving break.
 
Does anyone know around what time of day decisions have been released in the past?

Make sure you show continued interest in the school with LOI's and calls..there's always hope 🙂

Also, instead of manically checking my status page, I'm just going to refresh this thread every 30 mins or so to curb my anxiety 😛 Good luck everyone!
 
Ahhhh my status page at the online applicant center now says: Your file has been reviewed by the Admissions Committee. We will be contacting you shortly regarding the status of your application.

When I went for my interview they said that most OOS students are wait listed at first. I am hoping I get off rather quickly UVM is one of my favorite schools
 
OOS waitlist here as well..oh well, next adcom meeting, here I come!

Also, has anyone who was placed on the waitlist at the last meeting had any change in their statuses this time around?

Finally checked the OAC. Status just changed to the OOS Waitlist, too. Was hoping for a direct acceptance [who isn't, right?] but I am plenty pleased to be on the waitlist instead of having a status that begins with the letter R 😛

If those of us on the OOS WL are lucky, perhaps we'll still hear good news before heading home for Thanksgiving - historically, uber-quick turnarounds aren't an impossibility....soooo, yep, will be hoping like hell for the foreseeable future 😀
 
My status still hasn't changed from the post-interview greeting. Anyone else, who interviewed in the last month, still waiting for a status change?

^ I got wait listed three hours ago...and JUST GOT IN!!!! IM GOING TO BE A DOCTOR!

I'm still waiting, with a post-interview status. I'm hoping that the offers are starting to go out now 🙂 Crossing my fingers for a status change. Did you receive an email as well or just a status change on the website?

I checked my status online and saw I was wait listed this morning, then checked my email this afternoon and got the email for the acceptance! Good luck :xf: !!!
 
OOS waitlist 🙁 this sucks. When can send letters of interest? is same day too soon?

Still on the wait list. Interviewed in the middle of October - status hasn't changed. myeh.
 
Interviewed beginning of November - still have the post-interview status.

Hoping for a change before Thanksgiving....
 
Just got in today!! I was on the waitlist for 4 hours, acceptance e-mail came at 1:50pm...weird...Interviewed on 10/11. OOS 3.8/33

Congrats to all the accepted students!

Does anyone know if they go over waitlisted students during their meetings at this point? I wonder if anyone who was waitlisted last month got in today. Some more wait for me...sigh.
 
why does the message say "We are PLEASED to inform you that your name has been placed on the Out-of-Area waitlist of qualified/alternate candidates". Why would they be pleased to tell us that? Do ppl acutally get rejected outright from OOS? Do we know how many actually get accepted off the WL from OOS?
 
Also, WOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Burlington!!
